Abstract

Divisi Tissue Converting merupakan salah satu divisi di PT Sun Paper Source. Yang bertugas untuk melakukan produksi tisu dari jumbo tissue hingga menjadi tisu jadi. Dalam menjalankan proses produksinya, perusahaan sering mengalami downtime dimana persentase downtime mencapai lebih dari 10% di bulan Februari 2019. Downtime ini menyebabkan banyaknya production loss. Selain itu, dalam menjalankan proses produksinya, perusahaan menghasilkan waste berupa produk non conforming. Untuk itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari alternatif solusi untuk meningkatkan performansi mesin di perusahaan tersebut. Penelitian ini dimulai dengan melakukan pengukuran performansi mesin melalui metode Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Langkah selanjutnya yakni melakukan identifikasi Six Big Losses yang terjadi di lantai produksi khususnya di lini FC 103 & 104, setelah itu diidentifikasi menggunakan 5 why’s analysis intuk menemukan akar penyebab adanya six big losses yang menyebabkan rendahnya nilai OEE. Akar penyebab terjadinya losses diidentifikasi menggunakan FMEA untuk mengetahui akar masalah yang memiliki resiko tertinggi. Untuk meningkatkan performansi lini FC 103 & 104, maka dilakukan usulan langkah perbaikan dengan menggunakan penerapan Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) untuk mereduksi akar masalah penyebab terjadinya losses sehingga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan nilai OEE eksisting.

Tissue Converting Division is one of division unit in PT Sun Paper Source. The task is to produce tissue from jumbo tissue to become finished tissue. In commencing its production process, companies often experience downtime where the percentage of downtime reaches more than 10% in February 2019. This downtime causes a lot of production loss. In addition, In commencing its production process, the company produces waste in the form of non conforming products. For this reason the purpose of this research is to find alternative solutions to improve production line performance in the company. This research begins with calculating machine performance using Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) value. The next step is to identify Six Big Losses that occur on the production floor, especially in the FC 103 & 104 lines. To find the root cause of the six big losses that cause low OEE values, 5 why’s analysis is used. The root cause of losses is analyzed using FMEA to determine the root of the problem that has the highest risk. To improve the performance of the FC 103 & 104 lines, several proposed improvement scheme is made using Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is expected to reduce the root causes of losses, so that it is expected to increase the existing OEE value.
