Abstract
Intensitas medan listrik yang tinggi pada renteng isolator keramik dapat memicu terjadinya korona yang berakibat mengurangi keandalan isolator. Salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi masalah ini yaitu dengan instalasi cincin korona. Cincin korona dapat meuniformkan distribusi medan listrik pada renteng isolator yang dekat dengan konduktor, sehingga tidak terjadi stress medan listrik pada bagian tersebut. Akan tetapi, pemilihan dimensi cincin korona yang tepat sangat mempengaruhi kinerja cincin korona dalam menuniformkan dan meminimalkan intensitas medan listrik. Pada studi ini mendiskusikan pengaruh dimensi dan penempatan cincin korona terhadap nilai distribusi medan listrik. Parameter yang diamati yaitu panjang, sudut dan tinggi cincin korona. Simulasi berbasis Finite Element Method (FEM) digunakan untuk mengetahui perubahan parameter cincin korona terhadap nilai distribusi medan listrik pada renteng isolator. Untuk mendapatkan parameter cincin korona ring dengan nilai medan listrik yang minimal, digunakan Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) untuk mempermudah pengolahan data simulasi. Renteng isolator pada genty substation 500 kV di Indonesia digunakan sebagai basic desain pada simulasi ini.

The high intensity of the electric field on string porcelain insulator can trigger corona problem which results in reducing the reliability of the insulator. Solution to overcome this problem is by installing corona ring. Corona ring can make electric field distribution uniform on the insulator joint that is close to the conductor, so that no electric field stress occurs in that part. However, choosing the right corona ring dimensions greatly affects on the corona ring performance to uniforming and minimizing the intensity of the electric field. In this study discuss the influence of dimensions and placement of corona rings on the value of electric field distribution. The parameters observed were the width, angle and height of the corona ring. Simulation based on Finite Element Method (FEM) was used to determine changes in corona ring parameters to the electric field distribution value at the joint isolator. To obtain the corona ring parameters with a minimum electric field value, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is used to facilitate processing of simulation data. The series of insulators in the 500 kV substation in Indonesia were used as basic designs in this simulation.
