Abstract

PT. Jindal Stainless Indonesia merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri manufaktur, khususnya memproduksi stainless steel sheet JSL U. Kualitas produk terdiri dari dua jenis yaitu prime, dan second. Kualitas prime adalah produk baik tanpa cacat, sedangkan kualitas second merupakan produk yang memiliki cacat scratch, wavy, herring bone, dan dent coil. Perusahaan menetapkan bahwa produk JSL U mempunyai target kualitas prime, tetapi kenyataannya masih second. Perusahaan ingin mengetahui apakah proses produksi finish 2B sudah kapabel atau belum, oleh karena itu dengan menggunakan analisis kapabilitas proses, diperoleh hasil pengamatan fase I nilai $P_{pk}$ sebesar 0,173552 sedangkan fase II sebesar 0,173034. Jenis cacat yang sering terjadi pada fase I dan fase II yaitu dent coil dan scratch. Penyebab terjadinya cacat cenderung diakibatkan oleh karyawan yang kurang teliti dalam bekerja, metode salah step, pemilihan bahan baku kurang tepat, dan pengaturan mesin kurang tepat.

PT. Jindal Stainless Indonesia is a company engaged in the manufacturing industry, especially producing JSL U stainless steel sheets. The quality of products consists of two types, namely prime, and second. Prime quality is a good product without defects, while second quality is a product that has scratch defects, wavy, herring bone, and dent coil. The company stipulates that JSL U products have prime quality targets, but in reality it is still second. The company wants to know whether the production process finishes 2B is capable or not yet, therefore using process capability analysis, the results of phase I obtained $P_{pk}$ value of 0.173552, meanwhile in phase II obtained $P_{pk}$ value of 0.173034. The type of defects that often occur in phase I and phase II are dent coil and scratch. The causes of defects tend to be caused by employees who are less careful in their work, wrong step method, improper selection of raw materials, and improper arrangement of machines.
