Abstract

Penelitian ini merancang ulang lini produksi yang terdiri dari tiga stasiun dengan buffer untuk meningkatkan throughput rate. Lini produksi dirancang ulang dengan model holding time period yang menggunakan distribusi phase-type dan Markov chain. Pendekatan Markov chain yang digunakan merupakan metode agregasi. Distribusi phase-type yang digunakan untuk memodelkan waktu operasi setiap stasiun kerja merupakan distribusi 2-coxian. Peningkatan throughput rate dilakukan dengan alokasi buffers. Model discrete event simulation dirancang untuk uji coba terhadap solusi yang dihasilkan. Hasil komparasi dari kedua model menunjukkan adanya persamaan alokasi buffers pada lini produksi perbaikan. Terdapat pengaruh jumlah server di dalam stasiun kerja dan pengaruh waktu operasi terhadap peningkatan throughput rate dalam analisis sensitivitas.

This research discusses about redesigning a production line consisting of three stations with buffers to increase throughput rate. The production line is redesigned with a holding time period model that uses a phase-type distribution and the Markov chain. The Markov chain approach used is an aggregation method. Phase-type distribution is used to model the operation times of each station is 2-coxian. The throughput rate can be increased by buffer allocation. The discrete event simulation model is used to test the result. Comparative results from the two models indicate an equal allocation buffer on a production line that has been improved. There is an influence of number servers in the workstation and the effect of operating time to increase throughput rates in sensitivity analysis.
