Abstract
Perguruan Tinggi menjadi tempat dalam mempersiapkan bekal dan keterampilan generasi muda dalam berkompetisi didunia kerja. Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember sebagai salah satu perguruan tinggi terkemuka di Indonesia, selayaknya memiliki potensi dalam mencetak lulusan lulusan yang unggul dan kompetitif didunia kerja. Namun dalam kondisi saat ini, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember mengalami penurunan peringkat nasional serta tingkat potensi kerja pada lulusannya. Hal tersebut tentunya akan mempengaruhi salah satu tujuan strategis ITS, yakni sebagai World Class University. Untuk melihat sejauh mana strategi perbaikan yang dapat dijalankan, maka dilakukan penelitian berkaitan dengan mahasiswa sebagai konsumen utama pendidikan di Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember. Investigasi penelitian berfokus pada kepuasan mahasiswa selama menjalani studi serta persepsi mereka dalam mempersiapkan karir menuju dunia kerja, yakni preferensi karir, ekspektasi mendapat kerja dan perilaku mahasiswa dalam mencari kerja. Theory of planned behavior digunakan sebagai acuan dalam mengatahui perilaku mahasiswa dalam mencari pekerjaan. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah konklusif deskriptif single cross sectional. Sebanyak 354 mahasiswa tingkat akhir angkatan 2015 terlibat pada investigasi ini. Penghimpunan respon dilakukan secara acak dan merata disetiap departemen berdasarkan proposi tertentu. Pengolahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan crosstab dan analisis Structural Equation Modeling. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata dari mereka telah puas dengan studi mereka selama di ITS. Namun, perlu adanya pemerataan kualitas keseluruh departemen yang ada. Mahasiswa angkatan 2015 memiliki preferensi karir yang beragam dan beberapa departemen masih perlu mendapatkan motivasi untuk melakukan perencanaan karir kedepan. Hasil dari metode SEM menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara kepuasan studi dengan preferensi karir dan ekspektasi employability. Ekspektasi employability juga memiliki hubungan dengan perilaku mahasiswa dalam melakukan pencarian kerja.

Higher education is a place to prepare the provisions and skills of the young generation in competing in the work world. Institute of Technology Sepuluh Nopember as one of the leading universities in Indonesia, it is appropriate to have the potential to produce graduates who are superior and competitive in the labor marker. But in the current conditions, Institute of Technology Sepuluh Nopember has experienced a decline in national ranking and the level of employment potential of its graduates. This will certainly affect one of university's strategic goals, which was to be a World Class University. To see the extent to which improvement strategies can be implemented, research is carried out regarding students as the main consumers of education at the Institute of Technology Sepuluh Nopember. This research investigations focus on student satisfaction and their perception for future employment, such as career preferences, expectations of getting work and student behaviour in the job search. Theory of planned behavior is used as a reference in the conduct of student behaviour in the job search. The research design used was conclusive descriptive single cross sectional. A total of 354 senior students of 2015 force were involved in this investigation. The response is collected randomly in every department based on certain proportions. Data processing in this study uses crosstab and Structural Equation Modeling analysis. The results of descriptive analysis show that the average of them has been satisfied with their studies in ITS. However, there is a need to equalization quality throughout the existing majors. The result indicate that the student in Institute of Technology Sepuluh Nopember have varied career preferences and for some majors still need to get motivated to pursue their career planning ahead. The results of the SEM method indicate the relationship between the satisfaction of study with career preferences and employability expectations. Employability expectations also have a relationship with student behavior in conducting a job search.
