Abstract
DDT merupakan salah satu pestisida yang memiliki dampak negatif bagi lingkungan dan manusia, sehingga perlu dilakukan proses degradasi. Pada penelitian ini, diselidiki pengaruh penambahan bakteri Ralstonia pickettii terhadap biodegradasi DDT oleh jamur pelapuk putih Pleurotus ostreatus. R, pickettii ditambahkan ke dalam 10 mL kultur P. ostreatus masing-masing sebesar 1, 3, 5, 7, dan 10 mL (1 mL ≈ 1,337 x 109 sel/mL kultur). Degradasi DDT tertinggi ditunjukkan pada penambahan 10 mL R. pickettii dengan jumlah degradasi sebesar 82,70% sedangkan degradasi DDT oleh jamur pelapuk putih P. ostreatus sebesar 50,32%. Metabolit produk yang dihasilkan dari proses degradasi ini adalah DDD. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa R. pickettii dapat meningkatkan kemampuan degradasi DDT oleh P. ostreatus.

DDT is one of pesticide that have negative impact on environment and human, so the degradation process is needed. In this research, addition effect of bacteria Ralstonia pickettii on biodegradation of DDT by white root-fungus Pleurotus ostreatus had been investigated. R. pickettii was added into 10 mL P. ostreatus culture at 1, 3, 5, 7, and 10 mL (1 mL ≈ 1,337 x 109 cell/mL culture). The addition of 10 mL of R. pickettii showed the highest DDT degradation about 82,70%, shile the degradation by P. ostreatus about 50,32%. Metabolite product of degradation process was DDD. This results indicated that R. pickettii could enhance biodegradation of DDT by P. ostreatus.
