Abstract

Telah dilakukan kajian biomarka fraksi hidrokarbon alifatik dan aromatik batubara Coal Bed Methane-2 (CBM-2) Lapangan Rambutan, Formasi Muara Enim, Cekungan Sumatera Selatan melalui analisis dengan Kromatografi Gas-Spektrometer Massa (KG-SM). Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai CPI 6,02 dan adanya biomarka alkilnaftalena yang mengindikasikan tingkat kematangan yang rendah dari sampel dan terbentuknya gas metana pada CBM-2 melalui siklus karbon pendek pada tahap diagenesis. Keberadaan de-A-lupana; 2,3,6,7-TeMN; 3,3,7-trimetil-1,2,3,4-tetrahidrokrisena dan nilai wax index 0,15 mengindikasikan bahwa sumber bahan organik dari tumbuhan tingkat tinggi Angiospermae. Indikasi dari hasil Pr/nC17 terhadap Ph/nC18, rasio Pr/Ph 7,96 dan kelimpahan 1,6-DMN serta krisena menunjukkan dominasi input tumbuhan terestrial serta lingkungan pengendapan darat yang bersifat oksik. Identifikasi biomarka metilfenantrena menunjukkan peringkat batubara rendah sub-bituminus dan dikelompokkan pada kerogen tipe III yang berpotensi menjadi gas (gas prone).

A study of the biomarkers of aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbon fractions of Coal Bed Methane-2 (CBM-2) in Rambutan Field, Muara Enim Formation, South Sumatera Basin through analysis by Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS) has been done. Identification of results a showed the valued CPI 6.02 and alkylnaphtalene biomarker indicated low maturity of was sample and formation of methane gases in CBM-2 through a short carbon cycle at the diagenesis stage. The presence of de-A-lupane; 2,3,6,7-TeMN; 3,3,7-trimethyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydrochrysene and wax index valued of 0.15 indicated that the source of organic material was from high level of Angiosperms. Ratio of Pr/nC17 to Ph/nC18, ratio of Pr/Ph 7.96 and abundance of 1,6-DMN and chrysene indicated the dominance of terrestrial plant input the oxic deposition environment. Identification of methylphenantrene biomarker showed the rank of low sub-bituminous coal and was grouped in type III kerogen which has been potential to become gas (gas prone).
