Abstract

Pengolahan citra digital merupakan proses memanipulasi dan menganalisis citra dengan komputer. Pengenalan pola (pattern recognition) adalah salah satu pengolahan citra digital yang bertujuan untuk mengenali objek atau pola dan mengolah informasi yang terdapat pada citra. Peneliti fokus pada tulisan tangan yang memiliki pola berbeda dari setiap orang sehingga terkkadang sulit untuk dibaca oleh orang lain. Pengenalan tulisan tangan digolongkan menjadi 2 metode, yaitu online dan offline. Salah satu pola yang dapat dikenali adalah pola tulisan tangan ekspresi matematika yang berupa angka dan simbol. Implementasi pengenalan dan perhitungan ekspresi matematika tulisan tangan yang berupa angka dan simbol matematika pada sistem ini menggunakan metode offline yaitu dengan input berupa pengambilan gambar dari perangkat mobile. Implementasi pengenalan angka dan simbol matematika pada Tugas Akhir ini menggunakan algoritma SVM (Support Vector Machine) pada tahap classification yang akan dibuat dengan bahasa pemrograman pyhton dan algoritma RPN (Reverse Polish Notation) pada tahap kalkulasi. Output dari sistem ini adalah hasil perhitungan matematis berupa angka dan rumus yang telah didentifikasi dengan algoritma SVM (Support Vector Machine) dengan hasil keluaran yang telah dikalkulasi dengan algoritma RPN (Reverse Polish Notation) pada tahap kalkulasi pada perangkat mobile.

Digital image processing is the process of manipulating and analyzing images with a computer. Pattern recognition is a digital image processing that aims to recognize objects or patterns and process information contained in images. Researchers focus on handwriting that has a different pattern from everyone so that it is sometimes difficult for others to read. Handwriting recognition is classified into 2 methods, namely online and offline. One pattern that can be recognized is the handwriting pattern of mathematical expressions in the form of numbers and symbols. Implementation of the introduction and calculation of handwritten mathematical expressions in the form of numbers and mathematical symbols on this system using the offline method, namely by input in the form of taking pictures from a mobile device. The implementation of the introduction of mathematical numbers and symbols in this Final Project uses the SVM (Support Vector Machine) algorithm in the classification stage which will be made using the Pyhton programming language and the RPN (Reverse Polish Notation) algorithm in the calculation phase. The output of this system is the result of mathematical calculations in the form of numbers and formulas that have been identified by the SVM algorithm (Support Vector Machine) with outputs that have been calculated using the RPN (Reverse Polish Notation) algorithm in the calculation phase of the mobile device.
