Abstract
Pengaruh pH terhadap fotokatalisis metilen biru dan metil jingga menggunakan seng oksida (ZnO) di bawah penyinaran UV-LED telah diteliti. Seng oksida (ZnO) disintesis menggunakan metode presipitasi. Hasil karakterisasi menunjukkan bahwa ZnO memiliki struktur kristal heksagonal dengan ukuran partikel 0,125–0,5 µm, luas permukaan spesifik (SBET) sebesar 60,20 m²/g, volume pori meso sebesar 0,541 cm³/g, dan volume pori mikro sebesar 0,02 cm³/g. Pengaruh pH terhadap proses fotokatalisis metilen biru dan metil jingga menggunakan ZnO menunjukkan bahwa persentase removal tertinggi untuk metilen biru diperoleh pada pH 9, yaitu sebesar 95,642%, sedangkan untuk metil jingga diperoleh pada pH 3 dengan persentase removal sebesar 6,236%.

The effect of pH on the photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue and methyl orange using zinc oxide (ZnO) under UV-LED irradiation was investigated. Zinc oxide (ZnO) was synthesized using the precipitation method. Characterization results showed that ZnO possessed a hexagonal crystal structure with particle sizes ranging from 0.125 to 0.5 µm, a specific surface area (SBET) of 60.20 m²/g, a mesopore volume of 0.541 cm³/g, and a micropore volume of 0.02 cm³/g. The effect of pH on the photocatalytic process demonstrated that the highest removal efficiency for methylene blue was achieved at pH 9, reaching 95.642%, whereas the highest removal efficiency for methyl orange was obtained at pH 3 with a removal percentage of 6.236%.
