Abstract
Kontribusi sektor konstruksi terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi selalu di atas rata-rata sejak tahun 2014. Bahkan di tahun 2018 sektor konstruksi memiliki kontribusi tertinggi. Selain itu, penjualan sektor konstruksi terus meningkat sejak tahun 2014. Namun fakta ini bertentangan dengan profitabilitas perusahaan yang menurun dari tahun 2014-2016, diukur dengan ROE dan EPS. Penelitian ini menguji pengaruh faktor internal (efisiensi, struktur modal, likuiditas, modal kerja) dan faktor eksternal (suku bunga, pertumbuhan ekonomi) terhadap profitabilitas perusahaan. Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan random effect model dengan melibatkan 45 data amatan yang diambil melalui purposive sampling. Hasilnya, ketika ROE diuji, variabel struktur modal, efisiensi, dan ukuran perusahaan menunjukkan pengaruh positif signifikan. Sedangkan ketika EPS diuji, hanya ukuran perusahaan yang menunjukkan pengaruh positif signifikan. Variabel modal kerja, likuiditas, suku bunga, dan pertumbuhan ekonomi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap profitabilitas.

Contributions of construction sectors to economic growth in Indonesia always beyond average since 2014. Even in 2018 construction sectors has the highest contribution. The revenue of construction sectors shows identical which always increasing since 2014. This fact has contradiction with profitability of all construction company that listed which always decreasing from 2014-2016, measured by ROE and EPS. This research testing the effect of internal factors (efficiency, capital structure, liquidity, working capital) and external factors (interest rate, economic growth) towards company profitability. The examination used random effect model with 45 observation data that taken by purposive sampling. The results of testing ROE, the variable of capital structure, efficiency, company size shows significant positive effect. While the results of testing EPS, only company size shows significant positive effect. Working capital, liquidity, interest rate, and economic growth have no significant effect to profitability.
