Abstract
Kota Surabaya memiliki berbagai potensi wisata heritage yang memiliki nilai sejarah tersendiri, salah satunya adalah kawasan Islamic heritage di kawasan Ampel yang menjadi pusat keislaman tertua di Surabaya. Warisan budaya yang ada di suatu kawasan akan mencerminkan ciri kas identitas kawasan yang dapat diketahui melalui bangunan-bangunan peninggalannya dan ide-ide di dalam masyarakat yang masih dipakai hingga sekarang.. Namun, saat ini warisan budaya di kawasan Ampel belum sepenuhnya mencerminkan identitas kawasan. Kawasan Ampel hanya terfokus pada bangunan tunggal seperti Masjid dan Makam Sunan Ampel saja tanpa menghubungkan dengan bangunan lain, sehingga belum memanfaatkan potensi kawasan Ampel secara keseluruhan. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan kajian awal terkait peninggalan sejarah untuk mengetahui identitas kawasan Ampel. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan penilaian dan pemetaan kawasan cagar budaya di kawasan Ampel dengan perspektif studi spatial archaeology. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa adanya perubahan batas delineasi kawasan cagar budaya Ampel berdasarkan perspekstif spatial archaeology, dan adanya pembagian zona pada kawasan cagar budaya Ampel berdasarkan karakteristik zona yaitu zona inti dengan fungsi utama sebagai area sakral dengan nilai religi yang kental; zona penyangga yang memiliki nilai profan dengan nilai sosial budaya dan nilai ekonomi; dan zona penyangga yang memiliki nilai profan dengan nilai ekonomi yang tinggi. The city of Surabaya has a variety of heritage tourism potentials that have their own historical value, one of them is the Islamic heritage area in the Ampel region that is the oldest Islamic center in Surabaya. The cultural heritage that exists in an area will reflect the characteristic of regional identity that can be known through its heritage buildings and ideas that are still used today. However, currently the cultural heritage in the Ampel region has not fully reflected the region's identity. The Ampel area is only focused on single buildings such as the Mosque and Tomb of Sunan Ampel without connecting with other buildings, so it has not utilized the potential of the Ampel region as a whole. For this reason, it is necessary to conduct a preliminary study related to historical heritage to find out the identity of the Ampel region. In this study, an assessment and mapping of cultural heritage areas in the Ampel region will be conducted with a perspective on spatial archaeology. From the result oh the research, concluded that there was a change in the delineation bounderies of the Ampel cultural heritage area based on spatial archaeology perspective, the addition of cultural heritage buildings, and the division of zones in the Ampel cultural reserve area based on the characteristics of the zone namely the core zone with the main function as a sacred area with thick religious values; buffer zones that have profane values with socio-cultural values and economic values; and a buffer zone that has a profane value with a high economic value.
