Abstract

Kereta api adalah sarana perkereteaapian dengan tenaga gerak, baik berjalan sendiri maupun dirangkaikan dengan sarana perkeretaapian lainnya, yang akan ataupun sedang bergerak di jalan rel terkait dengan perjalanan kereta api. perkeretaapian di Indonesia seharusnya lebih dimanfaatkan sebagai salah satu alternative solusi dalam meyelesaikan permasalahan kemacetan. Sesuai arahan pengembangan perkeretaapian nasional dalam Rencana Induk Perkeretaapian Nasional (Ripnas) tahun (2011) diharapkan sarana kereta api mengutamakan keamanan dan keselamatan (security and safety first), terintegrasi dengan moda lain, terjangkau oleh seluruh lapisan masyarakat serta tersebar di pulau-pulau besar seperti Jawa-Bali, Sumatera, Kalimantan, Sulawesi dan Papua. Adapun tujuan yang akan dicapai dalam pembangunan jaringan jalan rel Demak – Purwodadi antara lain dari aspek ekonomi mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi sehingga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan taraf hidup masyarakat. Dan dari aspek transportasi ialah dengan adanya kereta api Demak – Purwodadi sebagai angkutan penumpang dan barang dapat mengurangi konstruksi jalan raya serta menjadi solusi alternatif transportasi massal untuk mengurangi volume kendaraan terhadap jalan raya. Metode yang digunakan dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan adalah mengumpulkan data skunder, menentukan rute terbaik beberapa alternatif trase, merancang geometrik dari trase yang terpilih dan merencanakan kontruksi jalan rel.Hasil dari tugas akhir ini adalah rencana trase Demak - Purwodadi. Jalur kereta api didesain menggunakan jenis rel R42 dengan lebar sepur 1067 mm, kecepatan kereta 60 km/jam, jenis penambat pandrol elastik tunggal, Panjang trase yang dirancang sepanjang 35,5 km menggunakan bantalan beton dengan jarak 60 cm. ==============================================================================================================================
A train is a vehicle with a power movement, both running alone and coupled with other railway facilities, which will or is moving on railways related to train travel. Railways in Indonesia should be used more as an alternative solution in solving congestion problems. In accordance with the direction of national railway development in the National Railway Master Plan (Ripnas) year (2011) it is expected that railroad facilities prioritize security and safety (security and safety first), integrated with other modes, affordable to all levels of society and spread across large islands such as Java-Bali, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi and Papua.
The objectives to be achieved in the construction of the Demak - Purwodadi railroad network include economic aspects to support economic growth so that it is expected to improve people's lives. And from the aspect of transportation, the existence of the Demak - Purwodadi railroad as passenger and freight transport can reduce road construction and become an alternative mass transportation solution to reduce the volume of vehicles on the highway. The method used in solving the problem is collecting secondary data, determining the best route for several alternative routes, designing the geometric of the selected tract and planning railroad construction. The result of this final project is the plan for the Demak - Purwodadi tract. The railway line is designed using the R42 rail type with a width of 1067 mm, train speed 60 km / h, a single elastic pandrol type fastener, the length of the track designed for 35.5 km using concrete pads with a distance of 60 cm
