Abstract

Kampus adalah suatu tempat yang digunakan mahasiswa untuk menempuh jenjang pendidikan tinggi. Sebaik apapun kondisi fisik suatu bangunan kampus tersebut jika tidak didukung oleh fasilitas dan desain yang maksimal, pengguna tetap tidak merasa fokus dalam mengerjakan suatu pekerjaan. Selain itu, dalam segi psikologi dapat terganggu. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui penyebab adanya penurunan jumlah mahasiswa dalam mengunjungi maupun pemanfaatkan waktu didalam kampus STIE Urip Sumoharjo Surabaya periode tahun 2018/2019. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kepuasaan pengguna atas kualitas desain dan fasilitas yang diberikan oleh kampus STIE Urip Sumoharjo Surabaya. Desain yang diterapkan memperhatikan kebutuhan fasilitas dan interior yang sepatutnya pada standarisasi kampus. Hasil data yang diberikan melewati tahapan analisis terhadap interior dan fasilitas yang nyaman maupun tidak nyaman pada beberapa ruangan kampus yang berupa interior. Desain yang akan diterapkan pada Kampus STIE Urip Sumoharjo Surabaya tersebut adalah berkonsep Urbanivity sebagai upaya optimalisasi ruang. Urbanivity adalah singkatan dari kata Urban dan University. Konsep tersebut memadupadankan dan menyesuaikan konsep urban dengan karakteristik, kebutuhan, maupun standarisasi suatu kampus. Dari pengertian Gaya Urban sendiri adalah gaya bernuansa kosmopolitan yang menampilkan keberadaan kota dengan memberikan kesan simple, lembut, dan nyaman. Pada upaya optimalisasi ruang menerapkan pada penambahan area agar dapat memenuhi kebutuhan maupun fasilitas pengguna kampus tersebut agar tidak over space. Konsep Urbanivity sebagai upaya optimalisai ruang bertujuan agar terciptanya kampus yang lebih baik dan dapat meningkatkan produktifitas mahasiswa dalam mengerjakan pekerjaan akademik maupun non-akademik. Selain itu, menjadikan salah satu identitas kampus dari kampus STIE Urip Sumoharjo Surabaya.

Campus is a place used by students to pursue higher education. As good the physical condition of a campus building if it’s not supported by maximum facilities and design, then the user doesn’t feel focused in doing a job. Besides that, in terms of psychology it can be disrupted. Based on this, the research was conducted to find out because the decrease in the number of students visiting and utilizing the time in the campus STIE of Urip Sumoharjo Surabaya in the period 2018/2019. This study aims to determine the user's satisfaction with the quality of design and facilities provided by campus STIE of Urip Sumoharjo Surabaya. The applied design takes into account the facilities and interior needs that are appropriate for campus standardization. The results of the data provided go through the stages of analysis of the interior and facilities that are comfortable and uncomfortable in some campus spaces in the form of interiors. The design that will be applied to the campus STIE of Urip Sumoharjo Surabaya is the Urbanivity concept as an effort to optimize space. Urbanivity stands for the word urban design and university. This concept mixes and match and then adapts urban concepts to the characteristics, needs, and standardization of a campus. From the understanding of Urban Style it self is a cosmopolitan style that displays the existence of the city by giving the impression of simple, soft, and comfortable. In an effort to optimize space, applying the additional area to meet the needs and facilities of the campus users so as not to over space. The Urbanivity concept as an effort to optimize space aims to create a better campus and increase student productivity in doing academic and non-academic work. Besides that, become to the one identity from the campus STIE of Urip Sumoharjo Surabaya.
