Abstract

Energi matahari adalah salah satu energi terbarukan yang mudah didapatkan. Salah satu pemanfaatan energi matahari adalah kolektor surya. Kolektor surya dapat mengumpulkan energi matahari dan mengubahnya menjadi panas. Salah satu contoh penerapan kolektor surya adalah instalasi pemanas air tenaga surya. Secara teori kemiringan sudut kolektor berpengaruh terhadap sudut datang sinar matahari, sehingga berpengaruh terhadap nilai energi berguna (heat gain) kolektor. Melalui pengujian variasi sudut kemiringan kolektor 20°, 30°, dan 40° dapat diketahui pengaruh sudut variasi terhadap nilai energi berguna. Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan alat pemanas air tenaga surya sederhana berukuran 600x800 mm dengan coil pemanas berbahan aluminium diameter 16mm. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan nilai energi berguna pada sudut kemiringan 30° sebesar 10985,9425 J/s. Nilai tersebut lebih tinggi dari sudut kemiringan 20° dengan nilai energi berguna 10257,6796 J/s dan sudut kemiringan 40° sebesar 10483,6009 J/s. Hal ini disebabkan sudut kemiringan kolektor 30° mendapatkan radiasi langsung lebih banyak dari sudut 20° dan sudut 40°.

Solar energy is one of the easily available renewable energies. One of the uses of solar energy is a solar collector. Solar collector is able to collect solar energy and convert it into heat. One of the application of solar collectors is solar water heater installations. In theory the tilt of the collector's angle has an effect on the angle of arrival of the sun, thus affecting the value of the heat gain of the collector. Through testing the variation of the collector's angle of 20°, 30°, and 40°, it can be seen that variation of the angle has a effect on the value of heat gain. The test is using a solar water heater with dimensions of 600x800 mm with aluminum coil which has a diameter of 16mm. The test results showed the value of heat gain at a tilt angle of 30° is 10985,9425 J/s. This value is higher than the tilt angle of 20° with heat gain value is 10257,6796 J/s and a slope angle of 40° is 10483,6009 J/s. This is because the collector angle of 30° gets more direct radiation than at an angle of 20 ° and an angle of 40°.
