Abstract
Minyak babi menjadi salah satu bahan yang sering digunakan pada kasus pencampuran minyak akhir-akhir ini. Faktor harga yang lebih murah serta kesamaan fisik antara minyak babi dengan minyak kelapa atau minyak bunga matahari mendorong dilakukannya penelitian tentang sistem deteksi minyak babi terlarut menggunakan serat optik MSM U-Shaped. Penelitia ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh perubahan diameter lekukan sensor terhadap karakteristik statik sensor serta mendapatkan karakteristik sensor MSM U-Shaped. Sensor MSM difabrikasi menggunakan spilcer dengan panjang serat optik singlemode 3 cm. Pengujian dilakukan dengan melekukkan sensor serat optik MSM sebesar 2 cm, 3 cm, 4 cm, 5 cm dan 6 cm. Sensor yang sudah terhubung dengan Optical Power Meter dan sumber cahaya dicelupkan ke dalam sampel minyak dengan minyak babi terlarut sebesar 0%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, 5%, 20%, 40%, 60% dan 80%. Berdasarkan penelitian, didapatkan sensor memiliki performa terbaik pada diameter lekuk 6 cm pada sampel minyak bunga matahari, yaitu memiliki span sebesar 3,2568, standar deviasi sebesar 1,0683, sensitivitas 0,8142 dan R2 0,9686. Pada sampel minyak kelapa memiliki performa sensor terbaik pada diameter lekuk 6 cm dengan span 0,3301, standar deviasi 0,163, sensitivitas 0,0825 dBm/% dan R2 0,1534.

Lard was one of the ingredients that are often used in oil mixing cases lately. Cheaper price factors and physical similarities between fat oil and coconut oil or sunflower oil encourage to did the research of dissolved lard detection systems using U-shaped MSM optical fibers. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of changes in the indentation diameter sensor on static sensor characteristics and get the characteristics of the U-Shaped MSM sensor. The MSM sensor is fabricated using a splicer with a length of 3 cm single-mode optic fiber. The test was conducted by bending the MSM optical fiber sensor by 2 cm, 3 cm, 4 cm, 5 cm, and 6 cm. Sensors that have been connected to Optical Power Meter and light sources dipped in oil samples with dissolved lard by 0%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, 5%, 20%, 40%, 60% and 80% . Based on the research, it was found that the sensor had the best performance on 6 cm curved diameter at sunflower oil samples, which had a span of 3.2568, a standard deviation of 1.0683, sensitivity of 0.8142 and R2 of 0.9686. The coconut oil sample has the best sensor performance on a 6 cm curved diameter with span 0.3301, standard deviation 0.163, sensitivity 0.0825 dBm /% and R2 0.1534.
