Abstract
Pondok pesantren merupakan salah satu lembaga pendidikan non formal yang tersebar di Indonesia. Seiring dengan perkembangan zaman, tidak sedikit pesantren yang mencoba menyesuaikan dan bersedia menerima akan suatu perubahan. Untuk meningkatkan image pondok pesantren, perlu diadakan penyegaran dan pembaruan terhadap fasilitas yang mendukung pelayanan pondok pesantren sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas pondok. Untuk itu, perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk mendapatkan solusi terbaik. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan cara observasi dan wawancara. Berdasarkan metodologi tersebut, ditemukan permasalahan seperti sirkulasi aktivitas belum optimal, sistem pendidikan yang monoton membuat semangat belajar santri kurang optimal, dan masalah lain yang terkait dengan desain yang belum menunjukkan identitas dari pondok pesantren tersebut. ‘Redesain Interior Pondok Pesantren Tahfidz Putri Darul Quran Mojokerto dengan Konsep Modern Islamic Design’ ini diharapkan : (1) Dapat menghadirkan image pondok pesantren penghafal Qur’an dengan gaya Islam dan modern, (2) Dapat menyelaraskan desain fasilitas pendidikan formal dengan desain arsitektur Islam pada pondok pesantren, (3) Dapat menciptakan desain yang berpengaruh positif terhadap suasana belajar santri Pondok Pesantren Tahfidz Putri Darul Qur’an Mojokerto. Penerapan Islamic Design bertujuan untuk memunculkan nuansa bangunan Islam pada pondok pesantren, mulai dari warna, ornamen, dan matreial yang digunakan.

Islamic boarding schools are one of the non-formal educational institutions spread across Indonesia. Along with the times, not a few Islamic boarding schools are trying to adjust and they are willing to accept change. To improve the image of Islamic boarding schools, there needs to be refreshment and renewal of facilities that support Islamic boarding school services so that they can improve the quality of that school. For this reason, further research is needed to get the best solution. The research method is carried out by observation and interview. Based on the methodology, problems were found such as the circulation of activities that were not optimal, a monotonous education system that made students' learning spirit less optimal, and other problems related to design that had not yet shown the identity of the Islamic boarding school. 'Redesigning the Interior of the Darul Qur’an Tahfidz Islamic Boarding School Mojokerto with the Modern Islamic Design Concept' is expected: (1) Can present image of Tahfidz boarding schools with Islamic and modern style, (2) Can combine the design of formal educational facilities with Islamic nuances in Islamic boarding schools, (3) Can create designs that have a positive effect on the learning atmosphere of students at the Darul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School Mojokerto. The application of Islamic Design aims to create an Islamic building nuance in Islamic boarding schools, starting with colors, ornaments, and materials that used.
