Abstract

PT Barata Indonesia merupakan perusahaan BUMN yang memproduksi bogie di Indonesia. Untuk meningkatkan profit, dapat dilakukan dengan meningkatkan penjualan. Dalam upaya tersebut, perlu adanya peningkatan kapasitas produksi sehingga perlu dilakukan evaluasi mengenai kondisi eksisting kapasitas produksi dan langkah peningkatannya. Perhitungan terkait nilai manufacturing lead time (MLT) pada proses produksi bogie diperlukan sebagai gambaran mengenai kapasitas produksi perusahaan. Pencatatan pada perusahaan masih sederhana dan belum dapat menggambarkan kondisi kapasitas produksi dengan akurat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan proses produksi melalui pencatatan aliran proses, waktu, ukuran batch, dan permasalahan yang dapat memperngaruhi nilai MLT. Penggambaran proses produksi dilakukan menggunakan Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Operational Process Chart (OPC), dan Discrete Event Simulation. Perhitungan nilai MLT dilakukan melalui pendekatan deterministik menggunakan rumus dan pendekatan stokastik menggunakan model simulasi. Nilai MLT yang didapatkan adalah 8,68 hari (rumus), 8,69 hari (model 1), dan 9,03 hari (model 2). Root Cause Analysis (RCA) dan Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) digunakan untuk menganilisis akar penyebab terjadinya waste dan dampak yang ditimbulkan. Selanjutnya adalah memberikan rekomendasi yang bertujuan mereduksi MLT melalui pendekatan lean manufacturing dan dilakukan running skenario perbaikan menggunakan “Process Analyzer”. Rekomendasi perbaikan terbaik adalah skenario kombinasi penerapan line balancing dan pencegahan defect yang memberikan nilai MLT 6,93 hari (rumus) dan 7,29 hari (model).

To support these efforts, production capacity must also be increased; therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the existing production capacity and identify improvement measures. The calculation of Manufacturing Lead Time (MLT) in the bogie production process is required to provide an overview of the company's production capacity. The company's current recording system is still simple and has not been able to accurately describe the actual production capacity. The purpose of this study is to describe the production process by recording the process flow, processing time, batch size, and problems that may affect the MLT value. The production process is described using Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Operational Process Chart (OPC), and Discrete Event Simulation. The MLT values are calculated using a deterministic approach based on formulas and a stochastic approach using a simulation model. The MLT values obtained were 8.68 days using the formula, 8.69 days using Model 1, and 9.03 days using Model 2. Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) were used to analyze the root causes of waste and their impacts. Recommendations were then developed to reduce MLT through a lean manufacturing approach, and improvement scenarios were evaluated using the "Process Analyzer." The best improvement recommendation is a combination of line balancing and defect prevention, resulting in MLT values of 6.93 days using the formula and 7.29 days using the simulation model.
