Abstract
Pelabuhan Tuban sudah ada sejak abad ke-11 M dan termasuk pelabuhan tertua di Jawa Timur. Adanya pelabuhan tersebut merupakan pelabuhan perdagangan internasional sejak zaman Airlangga dan kota Tuban saat itu sudah termasuk daerah yang maju. Wisata Pantai Boom Tuban sebagai lokasi yang di pilih merupakan salah satu wisata pantai di Tuban. Tepat di lokasi pantai Boom ini konon dulunya adalah lokasi pelabuhan Tuban. Wisata pantai Boom Tuban menyuguhkan eksotisme pantai dengan jalan setapak dan berbagai wahana yang ada di dalamnya. Namun dengan berbagai fasilitas yang ada di pantai Boom itu justru dapat menghilangkan nilai sejarah Pantai Boom Tuban, yang seharusnya dapat di jadikan edukasi sejarah tentang pelabuhan Tuban. Meskipun ada sedikit relief tentang sejarah Tuban, namun kebanyakan pengunjung Pantai Boom lebih menikmati panorama pantai daripada melihat relief sejarah Tuban.
Dari pemaparan isu history dan konteks di atas maka permasalahan yang akan diangkat adalah bagaimana menghadirkan sebuah arsitektur yang bisa menceritakan masa kejayaan Tuban melalui metode metafora. Dimana isu history mengenahi masa kejayaan pelabuhan Tuban dan lokasi lahan berada di kawasan wisata pantai Boom Tuban yang mempunyai karakteristik lahan menyerupahi pelabuhan, maka dapat di buat sebagai acuan perancangan yang memanfaatkan tanjung sebagai objek visual museum yang di gunakan sebagai perumpamaan pelabuhan Tuban di zaman dulu.
Pada hasil tugas akhir ini dari fungsi lama yang hanya pantai di tambah fungsi baru berupa museum dengan desain bangunan menyerupahi bentuk kapal namun pemaknaan bentuk hanya terlihat seperti siluet kapal dari samping. Di dalam museum terdapat frame untuk melihat perumpamaan kapal yang bersandar dan terdapat beberapa replika kapal yang menjelaskan kapal apa saja dulu yang pernah bersandar di Tuban.

Tuban Port has existed since the 11th century AD and is the oldest port in East Java. The existence of this port is an international trading port since the time of Airlangga and the city of Tuban when it was included as a developed area. Tuban Boom Beach Tourism as the chosen location is one of the beach attractions in Tuban. Right on the location of the Boom beach it is said that it used to be the location of the port of Tuban. Tuban Boom beach tourism presents the exoticism of the beach with trails and various rides in it. However, with the various facilities on the Boom beach, it can actually eliminate the historical value of Tuban Boom Beach, which should be able to make historical education about the port of Tuban. Although there is little relief about the history of Tuban, most visitors to Boom Beach enjoy the panoramic view of the beach rather than seeing the historical reliefs of Tuban.
From the explanation of historical issues and the context above, the problem that will be raised is how to present an architecture that can tell the heyday of Tuban through metaphorical methods. Where the issue is the history of the heyday of Tuban port and the location of the land in the Boom Tuban beach area that has the characteristics of harboring land, it can be used as a design reference that utilizes the promontory as a visual museum object that was used as a parable of the ancient port of Tuban.
In the results of this final assignment from the old function that only the beach added a new function in the form of a museum with building design sipping the shape of the ship but the meaning of the form only looks like a ship's silhouette from the side. Inside the museum there is a frame to see the parable of a leaning boat and there are several replicas of the ship explaining what ships have ever leaned back in Tuban.
