Abstract
Usaha perhotelan berkembang seiring dengan kemajuan sektor pariwisata dan bisnis. Di kota Batu, industri hotel bersaing ketat. Hal ini terjadi karena pariwisata di kota Batu berkembang sangat pesat dan cukup menarik banyak wisatawan lokal maupun mancanegara. Kota Batu juga menjadi pertimbangan dan daya tarik golongan-golongan koorporat dalam melakukan kegiatan bisnis sekaligus melepas penat atau refreshing. Salah satu hotel tua yang mendapat dampak dari persaingan hotel di kota Batu namun masih tetap beroperasi sampai sekarang adalah Hotel Kusuma Agrowisata Batu. Latar belakang yang membuat hotel ini masih beroperasi hingga saat ini adalah karena fasilitas sebagai hotel resort yang cukup lengkap dan lokasi hotel yang strategis karena dikelilingi pemandangan alam kota Batu. Sebagai kota dengan kondisi alam yang menguntungkan, maka tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwa akan makin banyak persaingan pembangunan hotel ataupun fasilitas penginapan lainnya. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pembaharuan desain Hotel Kusuma Agrowisata untuk layak bersaing dengan hotel-hotel lainnya. Fasilitas yang disediakan sudah cukup lengkap hanya disayangkan dalam hal desain perlu dilakukan perubahan atau revitalisasi interior dan bangunan hotelnya. Batu adalah kota wisata yang berada di daerah pegunungan dan memiliki kekayaan alam yang indah. Kekayaan alam kota Batu merupakan peluang untuk diangkat dalam konsep desain hotel ini. Lokasi yang strategis dengan dikelilingi alam yang sejuk dan asri bisa dimanfaatkan dengan baik untuk mengembangkan desain Kusuma Agrowisata Hotel. Mengangkat sarana interaktif agrowisata dengan menggabungkan unsur alam Kota Batu merupakan suatu hal yang tepat dalam mengembangkan hotel agar tetap bisa bersaing di pasar bisnis pembangunan sarana penginapan di Kota Batu. Berdasarkan latar belakang yang telah disebutkan, konsep yang akan diterapkan pada interior Hotel Kusuma Agrowisata adalah modern bernuansa alam kota Batu sebagai sarana interaktif agrowisata. Penerapan suasana tersebut merupakan hasil dari tujuan dan keinginan masyarakat dalam menikmati alam kota Batu yang diimplementasikan dalam elemen interior, sehingga penerapan konsep ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kesan berbeda serta mampu meningkatkan daya tarik kepada pengunjung hotel.

Hospitality businesses develop along with the advancement of the tourism and business sectors. In the city of Batu, the hotel industry competes. This happens because tourism in Batu city is growing very rapidly and is quite attractive to many local and foreign tourists. Batu City is also a consideration and attractiveness of corporate groups in conducting business while at the same time relieving fatigue or refreshing. One of the old hotels that got the impact of the hotel competition in Batu city but is still operating today is the Kusuma Agrowisata Batu Hotel. The background that makes this hotel still operational today is because the facilities as a resort hotel are quite complete and the location of the hotel is strategic because it is surrounded by natural scenery of the city of Batu. As a city with favorable natural conditions, it cannot be denied that there will be more competition for hotel development or other lodging facilities. Therefore, it is necessary to renew the design of the Kusuma Agrowisata Hotel to be worthy of competing with other hotels. The facilities provided are sufficiently complete only unfortunate in terms of design, it is necessary to change or revitalize the hotel interior and building. Batu is a tourist city in the mountains and has a wealth of beautiful nature. Batu's natural wealth is an opportunity to be raised in the design concept of this hotel. Strategic location surrounded by nature that is cool and beautiful can be used well to develop the design of the Kusuma Agrowisata Hotel. Lifting interactive agro-tourism facilities by combining the natural elements of Batu City is the right thing in developing hotels so that they can still compete in the business development market for lodging facilities in Batu City. Based on the background mentioned, the concept that will be applied to the interior of the Kusuma Agro Tourism Hotel is the modern nature of Batu city as an interactive means of agrotourism. The application of this atmosphere is the result of the goals and desires of the people in enjoying the natural environment of the city of Batu which is implemented in interior elements, so that the application of this concept is expected to give a different impression and be able to increase attractiveness to hotel visitors.
