Abstract

Kolom distilasi merupakan unit operasi utama dalam proses pemisahan dan pemurnian pada industri minyak dan gas. Peningkatan pesat penggunaan kolom distilasi pada industri proses menyebabkan tuntutan penggunaan biaya energi yang murah dan efisien. Kebutuhan energi yang diperlukan kolom distilasi cukup besar, sehingga biaya operasi yang dibutuhkan akan tinggi. Untuk mengurangi beban biaya operasi yang tinggi, maka produk yang dihasilkan harus maksimal. Pengendalian proses serta monitoring merupakan kunci untuk menekan biaya operasi serta mendapatkan hasil produk maksimal pada kolom distilasi. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode perancangan dan metode simulasi pada software Aspen HYSYS. Metode perancangan dilakukan untuk membuat aplikasi monitoring berbasis IoT pada Android dan Windows. Metode simulasi dilakukan untuk mendapatkan parameter performansi berupa tekanan, temperatur, energi, dan komposisi sehingga dapat dihitung biaya operasi serta keuntungan penjualan produk yang dihasilkan. Berdasarkan hasil perancangan aplikasi Android dan Windows berbasis IoT serta simulasi pada kondisi menuju stabil didapatkan hasil komposisi top product sebesar 0,92 mol dan profit sebesar -82 $/jam. Pada kondisi ideal didapatkan komposisi top product sebesar 0,96 mol dan profit sebesar 3756 $/jam. ==============================================================================================================================
The distillation column is the main operating unit in process of separation and refining in oil and gas industry. The use of distillation column has increased rapidly in process industry, causing demand for cheap and efficient energy costs. Since distillation column requreis large amount of energy leading to high operational cost, one may need to optimize the quality of product. In such a way, process control and monitoring play an important role. This research employed Aspen HYSYS software to simulate the process in distillation column. This simulation was carried out to obtain performance parameters, i,e. pressure, temperature, energy, and composition, which would be used to calculate operational costs and the profit of the product. Monitoring system was designed by creating application using IoT working on Android and Windows. The result indicated that during the unstable condition composition of top product obtained was 0,92 mole and the profit was -82 $/hour, meaning that under this condition deficit occurred. Once the stabil condition was reached, composition of top product increased to 0,96 mol and the profit improved considerably to 3756 $/hour.
