Abstract

Telah banyak penelitian yang mengembangkan teori dan cara kerja dari floating breakwater. Dimulai dengan variasi model, lebar, mooring, dan lainnya. Pada penelitian ini diujikan model floating breakwater dengan tipe ponton, gergaji, dan gergaji berpori pada variasi kedalaman air 35 cm, 40 cm, dan 45 cm. Pengujian dilakukan untuk mengetahui perubahan bentuk spektrum gelombang sebelum dan setelah melewati floating breakwater yang menunjukkan terjadinya pengurangan energi (Δm0). Hasil dari penelitian kali ini didapatkan bahwa floating breakwater tipe gergaji mempunyai rata-rata pengurangan energi spektrum gelombang 25.75 % lebih besar dari pada floating breakwater tipe ponton. Sedangkan pada floating breakwater tipe gergaji berpori mempunyai rata-rata pengurangan energi spektrum gelombang 1.78 % lebih kecil dari floating breakwater tipe ponton. Adapun hubungan koefisien transmisi (Kt) dengan Δm0 pada floating breakwater secara umum dapat dikatakan berbanding terbalik. Semakin kecil nilai Kt menunjukkan semakin efektif redaman dari floating breakwater, sedangkan pada Δm0 semakin besar nilainya menunjukkan semakin efektif redaman dari floating breakwater.

There have been many studies that developed the theories and ways of working floating breakwater. Starting with variations in model, width, mooring, and others. In this study tested the floating breakwater model with the type of pontoon, saw, and porous saw at variations in water depth 35 cm, 40 cm, and 45 cm. Tests are carried out to determine changes in the shape of the wave spectrum before and after passing through the floating breakwater which shows the occurrence of energy reduction (Δm0). The results of this study found that the saw type floating breakwater has an average wave spectrum energy reduction of 25.75 % greater than the pontoon type floating breakwater. Whereas the porous saw type floating breakwater has an average energy wave spectrum reduction of 1.78% smaller than the pontoon floating breakwater type. The relationship of the transmission coefficient (Kt) with Δm0 on a floating breakwater in general can be said to be inversely proportional. The smaller value of Kt indicates the more effective attenuation of the floating breakwater, while at Δm0 the greater of its value indicates the more effective attenuation of floating breakwater.
