Abstract
Kawasan Mulyosari merupakan daerah yang terletak di pinggir Kota Surabaya dengan demografi mayoritas mahasiswa, pekerja, dan penghuni tetap Kota. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan fasilitas kuliner yang bisa mewadahi kebutuhan masyarakat sekitar, selagi juga mengakomodasi singgungan-singgungan yang ada dari elemen-elemen masyarakat tersebut. Lokasi tapak berada di lokasi pertokoan, di jalan utama menuju sirkulasi utama Kota Surabaya. Dengan akses yang mudah, berbagai macam elemen masyarakat bisa menjangkau bangunan, sehingga konsep yang diterapkan adalah desain inklusif dengan tujuan tidak ada elemen masyarakat yang teralienasi oleh bangunan, dan bangunan dapat memaksimalkan fungsinya sebagai area publik tanpa ada pihak dari masyarakat yang dieksklusifkan. Banyuwangi merupakan kota transit dan wisata yang disinggahi banyak pelancong. Dengan Gunung Ijen dan Pelabuhan Ketapang sebagai destinasi utama, potensi akan sebuah homestay dirasa tepat. Isu yang dihadapi klien adalah bagaimana homestay yang dirancang bisa menarik pengunjung dari penginapan sekitar. Kontemporisasi yang tepat menjadi poin penting dalam perancangan ini.

Mulyosari District located in the countryside of Surabaya, demographicly filled with multi-ethnic students, middle class workers and residents of Surabaya itself. . Therefore, a proper culinary point is neccessary to fulfill the needs of the people around, whilst accomodating a vast amount of parts of the people itself. With the site located in the commerce zone on the main road to access the city’s circulation, all elements of the people are able to access the building with ease. Therefore, inclusive design is applied as a concept with its main purpose for the building to not alienate one or more elements of the people. And so everyone can use the building as intended without having a sense of exclusivity towards anyone. Banyuwangi is a tourism and transit city. With Mount Ijen and Port of Ketapang as main destination for tourist from all over the world, the potentials for a homestay are massive. The issue is how the design would attract tourists to stay from nearby similiar accomodations . Therefore, contemporization of design would be the critical for this project.
