Abstract

Indonesia is an agrarian country with a large portion of the population making a living in the agricultural sector, this is supported by the amount of agricultural land with fertility of the land. This is supported by a strong fertilizer industry. For this reason, a study was conducted to determine the possible risks and dangers of process failure on the 103-JT steam turbine owned by PT. Petrochemical Gresik. And aims to increase the value of
safety integrity levels to reduce every possible hazard. From the results of the HAZOP analysis, it was found that failure with the highest risk was a failure caused by the malfunction of the governor valve and extraction valve, plus wear on the bearing, nozzle, labyrint and gasket components. From the calculation of SIL, the results showed that 40% had a SIL 0 security level (governor valve and extraction valve), and 60% SIL 1 (bearing, nozzle, labyrint and gasket). hence the recommendation result needs to be added to the BPCS control loop and speed alarm low 103-JT.
