Abstract
Kawasan Manyar Kertoadi merupakan kawasan di sekitar kampus (ITS,Unair,ITATS) dan juga perkantoran, membuat area ini menjadi salah satu area yang padat, baik oleh penduduk Surabaya maupun dari luar kota. Oleh karenanya, fasilitas seperti rumah/kos sangatlah dibutuhkan. Akan tetapi pengaruh kehadiran obyek perancangan seperti kos pada area ini haruslah tetap menyesuaikan dengan bangunan sekitar. Penyesuaian yang diangkat dalam desain bangunan ini salah satunya dengan menerapkan pola bangunan yang mengikuti bentukan dasar bangunan sekitar (persegi). Akan tetapi tetap memanipulasi fasade dan penggunaan material agar lebih terlihat kontras dibandingkan bangunan lainnya. Lokasi tapak berada di kompleks sekolah eksisting yang rencananya akan direnovasi dengan penambahan beberapa gedung. PT. Archimetric mendapatkan proyek perancangan masterplan Sekolah IPH Wilayah Timur, Surabaya pada akhir tahun 2018. Dalam perencanaannya, yang menjadi penekanan dalam mendesain dan menjadi konsep adalah zoning fungsi tiap lantai, sirkulasi penghubung antar fungsi, dan green building sebagai upaya yang harus selalu diperhatikan dalam efisien energy. Desain gedung sekolah disesuaikan dengan kriteria-kriteria dan standarisasi sekolah Internasional dengan tetap menerapkan konsep-konsep ekologis agar sesuai dengan konteks lingkungannya.

Manyar Kertoadi is an area around the campus (ITS, Airlangga University, ITATS) and business district, making this area one of the densest areas, both by residents of Surabaya and people from outside the city. Therefore, facilities such as housing / boarding house are needed. However, the influence of the presence of design objects such as boarding house in this area must adjust to the surrounding buildings. One of the adjustments applied in this design is a building pattern that follows the basic (square) building base. Manipulating the facade and using material to make it look more contrast than the surroundings. The location of the site is in the existing school complex which is planned to be renovated with the addition of several buildings. PT. Archimetric received the IPH School masterplan design project in late 2018. In its planning, the emphasis in designing and becoming a concept is zoning the functions of each floor, connecting circuits between functions, and green building as an effort that must always be considered in energy efficiency. The design of the school building is adapted to the criteria and standardization of the international school while still applying ecological concepts to fit the context of the environment.
