Abstract

Rokok merupakan produk yang saat ini sudah sangat melekat di kalangan masyarakat Indonesia sehari-hari. Hal ini menyebabkan banyak produsen rokok yang berlomba-lomba menawarkan produk yang terbaik yang bisa dinikmati oleh penduduk Indonesia. Dengan harga yang cukup terjangkau menyebabkan rokok jadi banyak dibeli oleh masyarakat. PT. X merupakan salah satu industri yang memproduksi rokok terbesar di Indonesia. Salah satu produknya yang terkenal yaitu rokok Y. Banyaknya persaingan dengan produsen-produsen rokok yang ada menyebabkan dituntutnya rokok Y untuk menjaga kualitas rokok tersebut agar tidak kalah saing dengan produk lain terutama dalam hal berat rokok. Dari hasil pemeriksaan tersebut belum pernah dilakukan evaluasi dengan menggunakan analisis kapabilitas proses sehingga tidak diketahui apakah hasil proses produksi sudah kapabel atau tidak. Hasil analisis kapabilitas proses rokok Y pada periode Maret dan April 2019 dimana sebelumnya dilakukan pengendalian kualitas statistika dengan peta diketahui bahwa proses telah terkendali secara statistika dan telah kapabel. Akar penyebab dari ketidaksesuaian berat pada produk rokok Y cenderung salah satunya disebabkan oleh faktor manusia karena karyawan yang kurang dalam monitoring atau kontroling mesin yang sedang berjalan diidentifikasi.

Cigarettes are products that are currently well-known in Indonesian society everyday. This causes many cigarette producers who are competing to offer the best products that can be enjoyed by the population of Indonesia. With prices that are quite affordable, many people can buy cigarettes. PT. X is one of the largest industries which is producing cigarette in Indonesia. One of the most famous products is cigarette Y. The amount of competition from cigarette producers causes the demand for Y cigarettes to maintain the quality of cigarettes so as not to lose competitiveness with other products, especially in terms of the weight of cigarettes. From the results of the quality control, never been evaluated by process capability analysis so it is not known whether the production process is capable or not. The results of the analysis of Y cigarette process capability in the March and April 2019 periods where previously conducted statistical quality control with chart showing that the process was statistically controlled and capable. The root cause of mismatches on Y cigarette’s weight products caused by human factors because employees who are lacking in monitoring or controlling the running machines are identified.
