Abstract

Kehilangan air yang umum terjadi di PDAM harus segera ditangani karena dapat menghambat kinerja PDAM. Kehilangan air terdiri dari kehilangan air fisik (kebocoran) dan kehilangan air non fisik (ketidakakuratan meter air, kesalahan enanganan data, dan koneksi illegal). Untuk menurunkan kehilangan air, diperlukan neraca air yang berfungsi sebagai pedoman dalam menentukan strategi penurunan berdasarkan komponen-komponen penyebab kehilangan air. Selain dapat menentukan komponen kehilangan air, Software WB-EasyCalc juga dapat menunjukkan akurasi perhitungan kehilangan air dan menunjukkan Performance Indicators PDAM untuk mengetahui kinerja PDAM. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kehilangan air PDAM Sidoarjo Cabang Waru II adalah 30,7% per tahun, terdiri dari kehilangan air non fisik sebesar 15,3% dan kehilangan air fisik sebesar 15,4%. Kerugian yang diakibatkan oleh kehilangan air mencapai Rp 13.277.253.027,00 per tahun. Sedangkan nilai Performance Indicators PDAM Sidoarjo Cabang Waru II termasuk dalam kategori C sehingga perlu adanya analisis penyebab kebocoran dan intensifikasi upaya penurunan kebocoran di PDAM Sidoarjo Cabang Waru II.

Water losses that normally happens in Water Treatment Plant (WTP) must be managed immediately because it can inhibit WTP performance. Water losses include Physical/Real Water losses (leakage) and Apparent/Commercial Water losses
(customer meter inaccuracies, data handling errors, and illegal connection). To reduce water losses, WTP needs water balance that has function as a guide in determining water losses reduction strategy based on components causing water losses. Besides being able to detect water losses components, WB-EasyCalc software can show the inaccuracies of water losses calculation and show WTP’s performace indicator (PIs) to understand WTP performance. Study results shows that water losses level of Sidoarjo WTP Branch Waru II is 30,7% per year, consists of apparent/commercial losses reaching 15,3% and physical/real losses reaching 15,4%. Financial loss caused by water losses was calculated reaching Rp 13.277.253.027,00 per year. While Sidoarjo WTP Branch Waru II physical losses performance indicators value included in category C in low and middle income countries so it is a necessary to analyze the leakage cause and intensify the effort in reducing water leakage in Sidoarjo WTP Branch Waru II.
