Abstract

Push notification adalah fitur smartphone yang sangat strategis berupa pesan pendek yang muncul secara otomatis di layar smartphone. Pemilik aplikasi dapat mengirimkan pesanpesan tersebut setiap saat meskipun pemilik smartphone tidak sedang membuka aplikasi yang bersangkutan. Pada Tugas Akhir ini dibuat aplikasi Push Notification Terpusat untuk melakukan pengiriman push notification dengan kapabilitas melakukan pemusatan pengiriman notifikasi bagi seluruh aplikasi yang ada di Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember. Aplikasi dibangun dengan kerangka kerja Phalcon. Aplikasi ini menggunakan teknologi MyITS SSO dalam pembuatannya. Aplikasi ini mampu untuk mengirim notifikasi pada jenis perangkat bergerak Android maupun iOS. Pengiriman notifikasi diklasifikasikan berdasarkan jenis aplikasi, akun pengguna, dan group push notification. Aplikasi Push Notification Terpusat juga memiliki kapabilitas untuk melakukan moderasi sebelum pesan notifikasi dikirim kepada pengguna, mengimplementasikan Kafka message queuing sebelum mengirim notifikasi untuk mengoptimalkan penggunaan sumber daya yang tersedia dan juga melakukan pengiriman notifikasi secara terjadwal.

Push notification is a smartphone feature that is very strategic in the form of short messages that appear automatically on the smartphone screen. Application owners can send these messages at any time even though the smartphone owner is not opening the application in question. In this final project, a Centralized Push Notification application is made, an application to manage the distribution of notification messages in information system environments owned by Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember. The application is built on the Phalcon framework. This application use MyITS SSO for its sign in method. This application is able to send notifications on the types of Android and iOS mobile devices. Broadcast notifications are classified based on the type of application, user account, and group push notifications. This application also has the capability to make moderation before the notification message is sent to the user. Implementing Kafka message queuing before sending notifications to optimize the use of available resources and also send notifications in a scheduled manner.
