Abstract

Kecenderungan sifat tenggelam dalam dunia maya dan individualis merupakan sifat Generasi Z, sehingga diperlukan tempat kerja yang dapat mendorong mereka lebih aktif bergerak serta bersosialisasi. Hal ini mempengaruhi proses bagaimana merancang bangunan arsitektural yang dapat menjadi wadah gabungan aktivitas fisik di dalam maupun dari luar bangunan dalam kegiatan sehari-hari. Terutama di Surabaya, City of Work, perkembangan style bekerja mulai berubah. Banyak kafe menjadi tempat kerja maupun meeting, juga co-working space yang bermunculan di penjuru kota. Karenanya, makalah ini memaparkan proses merancang co-working space dengan merespon sifat kerja Generasi Z. Untuk menunjang kualitas performa pekerja, unsur alami seperti hijau tanaman, daylight serta scenic view dibutuhkan dalam bekerja. Selain itu, untuk menjaga kesehatan tiap individual maka tempat bekerja yang baik akan mendorong penggunanya untuk memperbanyak bergerak. Maka dipilih green building dalam arsitektur berkelanjutan dan active design sebagai pendekatan dalam proses rancang. Sementara metode context analysis dalam kerangka berpikir force-based digunakan untuk menghadirkan bentuk dan komposisi rancangan. Konsep utama dalam rancangan ini adalah menciptakan co-working space yang dapat memenuhi tuntutan utama ruang kerja sesuai kebutuhan pengguna, nyaman dan aman, juga dapat meningkatkan kualitas ruang serta interaksi antar pengguna maupun dengan arsitektur. Dengan konsep desain aktif dan green building, co-working space dirancang memiliki banyak bukaan, varian transparansi, tanaman hijau, serta sistem konservasi dan penghematan sumber daya. Ruang kerja bersama yang merespon sifat kerja Generasi Z dan mendorong kebiasaan hidup sehat selama bekerja menjadi hal yang ditonjolkan pada desain coworking space ini.

The tendency of being immersed in cyberspace and individualism is the characteristic of Generation Z, so a workplace that can encourage them to be more active and socialize is needed. This affects the process of designing architectural buildings that can be a combination of physical activities in daily routine both inside and outside the building. Especially in Surabaya, City of Work, the development of work styles began to change. Many cafes serve as workplaces and meetings, as well as co-working spaces that sprung up throughout the city. Therefore, this paper describes the process of designing a co-working space by responding to the nature of Generation Z's work style.To support the quality of work performance, natural elements such as green plants, daylight and scenic views are needed in work. In addition, to maintain the health of each individual, a good place to work will encourage users to increase their movement. Then green building in sustainable architecture and active design was chosen as an approach in the design process. While the context analysis method in a force-based framework is used to present the design form and composition. The main concept in this design is to create a co-working space that can meet the main demands of the workspace according to user needs, comfortable and safe, also can improve the quality of space and interaction between users and architecture. With the concept of active design and green building, the co-working space is designed to have many openings, variants of transparency, greenery, and conservation systems and saving resources. The shared work space that responds to the Generation Z's workstyle and encourages healthy living habits during work in this coworking space design is highlighted.
