Abstract
Gedung Kesenian Cak Durasim adalah gedung teater dari Surabaya yang juga berfungsi sebagai sarana hiburan untuk masyarakat terutama masyarakat Jawa Timur.Gedung ini difungsikan sebagai sarana dan wadah untuk seniman di seluruh Jawa Timur untuk mengembangkan kreativitasnya. Gedung Kesenian Cak Durasim masih beroperasi sampai sekarang, karena kegiatan para seniman dan pementasan selalu berjalan tiap minggunya dengan menampilkankesenian lokal Jawa Timur seperti ludruk, wayang, tari remo, maupun penampilan drama dan tari modern. Gedung Kesenian Cak Durasim telah mengalami renovasi gedung pada tahun 2016-2017. Renovasi yang dilakukan antara lain adalah perombakan desain lobby depan, toilet pengunjung, dan ruang teater. Sebelum direnovasi kapasitas jumlah penonton dapat mencapai seribu (1000) penonton, namun saat ini kapasitas jumlah penonton hanya mencapai 412 kursi saja.Selain itu, desain interior dari Gedung Kesenian Cak Durasim juga belum termasuk bangunan yang inklusif, yang dapat menerima semua jenis pengunjung. Tidak ada aksesibilitas khusus seperti ram untuk pengguna kursi roda dan toilet khusus kaum difabel. menyebabkan perlunya dibuat desain baru yang ramah terhadap kaum difabel Kedua hal ini mengakibatkan dibutuhkannya desain baru untuk mengatasi kedua kekurangan tersebut. Hal lain yang juga harus diperhatikan adalah keinginan masyarakat terkait langgam yang digunakan yaitu langgam tradisional modern. Redesain ini mengutamakan standarisasi bangunan publik modern yang desainnya mengikuti regulasi teknis untuk teater dengan langgam tradisional modern jawa Timur. Standarisasi bangunan publik modern yang diangkat dalam desain ini adalah: memenuhi kebutuhan dan fasilitas inklusif untuk difabel, konfigurasi teknis akustik teater dan standar bangunan teater, dan penambahan kapasitas penonton sesuai dengan standar ergonomi desain untuk difabel dan pengguna teater lainnya.

Gedung Kesenian Cak Durasim is a theater building from Surabaya that also functions as entertainment facility for its citizens especially East Java citizens. Gedung Kesenian Cak Durasim is part of UPT Taman Budaya Jawa Timur (TBJT). It was functioned as a facility and as a container for artists all around East Java for developing their creativity. Gedung Kesenian Cak Durasim still is operating until today because of the artists’ activities and staging runs every week to shows local entertainment shows such as ludruk, wayang, remo dance, and modern drama and dance. Gedung Kesenian Cak Durasim has been renovated on 2016-2017. The renovation that has been done is the design for the front lobby, the visitors’ toilets, and the theater room. Before renovation, the number of audience capacity can reach up to one thousand (1000) audiences, while now it only is available up to 412 seats. Furthermore, the design of Gedung Kesenian Cak Durasim not included the inclusive design that can receive tha all kind visitors.There lack of special accessibility in example of diffable ramp and diffable toilets. Both of these resulted caused the need of the new designs to overcome these shortcomings.Another thing that must also be considered is the desire of the community regarding the style used, namely traditional modern style This redesign specialises standarisations of modern public buildings where the design will follow techinical regulations for theater with traditional modern style of Jawa Timur. The standarisation of the modern public building has three aspects that is brought up to this design as follows: fulfilling inclusive needs andfacilities of difabled people on a theater, technical configurations of acoustic theater and its standards on theatrical building,,and the increase of the capacity of the audiences according to ergonomical standards of design for the difabled people, the traditional modern interior design style and local wisdom of East Java, it is expected in hopes of creating an interior atmosphere that is friendly towards difabled people and is able to accomodate more audiences.
