Abstract

Berbagai penelitian telah banyak dilakukan tentang pengoptimalisasian pada motor diesel salah satunya adalah modifikasi diesel fuel menjadi Dual Fuel berbahan bakar diesel-gas. Modifikasi yang banyak digunakan adalah mesin berbahan bakar solar-natural gas yang biasa disebut mesin diesel DDF (Dual Fuel). Berdasarkan hasil pengujian natural gas yang di compressed atau CNG berhasil mengganti peran solar sebesar 75%. Semakin meningkatnya teknologi untuk mengganti peran bahan bakar minyak bumi dengan menggunakan Dual Fuel muncul sebuah masalah yaitu emisi Methane Slip yang merupakan gas metana yang tidak terbakar dalam proses pembakaran. Penelitian ini membahas berapa banyak nilai Methane Slip dengan variasi durasi waktu injeksi dengan mengkaji performa pembakaran atau combustion dan performa mesin. Hasil dari penelitian ini akan menanalisa dari segi performa pembakaran dan performa mesin untuk dilihat pengaruh nilai kadar Methane Slip-nya. Setelah dilakukan penelitian hasil dari Methane Slip berpengaruh pada performa mesin yaitu daya,torsi,Efisiensi Thermal dan SFC. Hasil setelah pengujian methane slip mengalami peningkatan ketika penambahan durasi injeksi disebabkan oleh laju massa yang meningkat yang menyebabkan massa CNG menjadi lebih besar. Rata rata peningkatan 8 ms ke 9 ms memiliki peningkatan 0,733%

Researched on optimizing fuel for diesel engine has been done and one of them is the combination of the fuel system between oil and gas. Modifications that are widely used are diesel-natural gas-powered engines commonly called DDF (Dual Fuel) diesel engines. Based on the results of natural gas testing compressed or CNG successfully changing the role of diesel fuel by 75%. The increasing technology to replace the role of petroleum fuels by using Dual Fuel, there is a problem, namely the emission of Methane Slip which is methane gas that does not burn in the combustion process. This study discusses how much the value of Methane Slip with variations in the duration of injection by assessing combustion or combustion performance and engine performance. The results of this study will analyze in terms of combustion performance and engine performance to see the effect of the value of the Methane Slip level. After doing the research the results of Methane Slip affect the engine performance, namely power, torque, eff. Thermal and SFC. The results after the methane slip test have increased when the addition of injection duration is caused by the increased mass rate which causes the CNG mass to become larger. The average increase of 8 ms to 9 ms has an increase of 0.733%
