Abstract
==================================================================================================================
PLTU Paiton Baru applied the concepts about Reliability Management using the FMEA method. However based on the standard of FMEA, the application of FMEA analyzed tends to differ from theories. The difference process causes, it necessary to analyze the results of the FMEA Workshop Sea Water Desalination System is adapted to the conditions of the equipment in the field. FMEA analysis is conducted through the Interview and Brain Storming FMEA process with the Workshop mechanism. Based on the Results of Effectiveness Analysis of the Application of the FMEA Method with a case study on the Sea Water Desalination System PLTU Paiton Baru, its implementation is still ineffective. The Risk Map in the Sub System monitored is not known and there is no attempt to reduce the risk value through a Proposed New Maintenance Strategy. Analyzing FMEA again on 6 Sub Systems through the process of Interview and Brain Storming with the Workshop mechanism. The results of calculation of lisk Priority Number (RPN) are map of type of Failure Modes those are 14 Failure Modes with Major Risk categories, 31 Failure Mode with Moderate Risk categories and 2 Failure Modes with Minor Risk categories. From each of the 47 Failure Modes above, a proposed Strategy Maintenance (Proposed Maintenance Strategy) was proposed as an effort to reduce the risk value. Keyword : FMEA, FDT, Severity (S), Occurrence (O), Detection (D), RPN, Failure Mode, Sub System, risk category, Proposed Maintenance Strategy
