Abstract

Geopolimer berbahan dasar abu layang telah berhasil disintesis. Pada penelitian ini digunakan tiga abu layang yang diambil dari tempat yang berbeda yaitu dari PLTU Paiton 9, PLTU Adipala, dan PLTU Pulau Pisang. Geopolimer diuji kekuatan tekannya pada usia 7 dan 14 hari setelah proses curing. Geopolimer dibuat menggunakan dua metode yang berbeda yaitu metode non-impregnasi dan metode impregnasi. Hasil maksimum uji kuat tekan geopolimer berbasis abu layang PLTU Paiton 9, PLTU Adipala, dan PLTU Pulau Pisang didapatkan pada usia 14 hari dengan menggunakan metode non-impregnasi secara berurutan sebesar 15,9; 8,5; 10,6 MPa dan metode impregnasi sebesar 15,9; 6,4; 9,5 MPa. Pengaruh sifat-sifat abu layang terhadap kekuatan tekan geopolimer dianalisis dengan mengkarakterisasi abu layang menggunakan XRD, XRF, SEM, PSA dan kelarutan Si dan Al.

Geopolymers based on fly ash have been successfully synthesized. In this research, three fly ash were taken from diffetent places, Paiton 9 Power Station, Adipala Power station, and Pulau Pisang Power Station. Geopolymers were tested for compressive strength at ages 7, 14, and 28 days after curing process. Geopolymers were made using two different methods, namely non-impregnation and impregnation method. The maximum results of the geopolymer compressive strength test based on Paiton 9 Power Station, Adipala Power station, and Pulau Pisang Power Station fly ash were obtained at age of 14 days using the non-impregnation method sequentially 15,9; 8,5; 10,6 MPa and the impregnation method is 15,9; 6,3; 9,5 MPa. The effect of fly ash properties on geopolymer compressive strength was analyzed by characterizing fly ash using XRD, XRF, PSA, and Si and Al solubility.
