Abstract
PT. Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (BKI) merupakan badan klasifikasi nasional yang ditunjuk oleh Pemerintah Indonesia dengan tugas mengklaskan kapal yang beroperasi di perairan Indonesia. Seiring dengan berjalannya waktu, BKI mengembangkan bisnisnya yaitu sertifikasi material dan komponen kapal. Tujuan penilitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi faktor dominan yang mempengaruhi peningkatan sertifikasi material dan komponen serta menentukan korelasi antara faktor-faktor ini terhadap peningkatan sertifikasi bahan dan komponen kapal. Metode penilitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif eksploratif melalui wawancara dan survey kuesioner terhadap pakar dan pengguna jasa sertifikasi, selanjutnya data diolah dengan analisis statistik. Hasil penelitian diperoleh lima faktor dominan yang yang mempengaruhi peningkatan sertifikasi material dan komponen kapal serta formulasi F(x) = 0.447 X2 + 0.382 X4 + 0.258 X10 + 0.136 X5 - 0.269 X11 - 1.563.

PT. Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (BKI) is a national classification assigned by the Government of Indonesia to classify ships operating in Indonesian waters. BKI keeps developing its business day by day. Nowadays, BKI also conducts certification for materials and components of ship. In order to support this kind of certification business improvement, this research is carried out. The aim is to identify dominant factors that can significantly improve its business and determine the correlation formula between the dominant factors and the business improvement. There are two methodology used in this research. First is descriptive exploratory analysis through questionnaire surveys and expert interviews. Second is statistical analysis that analyzing data from the first step. The result of this research concludes that there are five dominant factors that can significantly improve certification for material and component business with correlation formula of F (x) = 0.447 X2 + 0.382 X4 + 0.258 X10 + 0.136 X5 - 0.269 X11 - 1.563.
