Abstract
Amoniak merupakan bahan utama dalam proses pembuatan pupuk Urea, ZA dan NPK di PT. Petrokimia Gresik. Salah satu proses penting dalam tahapan pembuatan amoniak adalah Methanator sebagai akhir dari proses purifikasi gas sintesa dengan reaksi yang terjadi bersifat sangat eksotermis, sehingga menurunkan umur katalis karena aktivitas yang bertambah. Untuk mencegah hal tersebut dan potensi bahaya yang lainnya terjadi perlu dilakukan analisis bahaya dengan metode HAZOP, perhitungan SIL dengan metode FTA dan peningkatan nilai SIL guna menurunkan risiko bahaya. Methanator memiliki 2 node, yaitu 114-C dan 106-D dengan masing-masing 4 instrument. Dari hasil HAZOP diketahui methanator memiliki tingkat risiko menengah, dimana 22,22% berada pada low risk; 66,67% berada pada moderate risk dan 11,11% berada pada high risk. SIS Methanator memiliki SIL 1 dengan PFD sebesar 0,03077 berdasarkan hasil perhitungan menggunakan metode FTA yang selanjutnya ditingkatkan nilai SIL tersebut dengan cara meningkatkan test interval, sehingga nilai SIL pada SIS methanator menjadi 2 dengan nilai PFD sebesar 0,007790 dapat diperoleh dengan peningkatan test interval pada node 114-C yang awalnya 1 tahun menjadi 6 bulan.

Ammonia is the main ingredient in the process of making Urea, ZA and NPK fertilizer at PT. Petrokimia Gresik. One important process in the stages of making ammonia is Methanator as the end of the purification process of gas synthesis with the reaction that occurs is very exothermic, thereby reducing the life of the catalyst due to increased activity. To prevent this and other potential hazards from occurring it is necessary to do a hazard analysis with the HAZOP method, calculation of SIL by the FTA method and increase the value of SIL to reduce the risk of danger. Methanator has 2 nodes, namely 114-C and 106-D with each of the 4 instruments. From the HAZOP results it is known that methanator has a medium risk level, where 22.22% are at low risk; 66.67% is at moderate risk and 11.11% is at high risk. SIS Methanator has SIL 1 with PFD of 0.03077 based on the results of calculations using the FTA method which further increases the SIL value by increasing the interval test, so that the SIL value in SIS methanator becomes 2 with a PFD value of 0.007790 can be obtained by increasing the interval test on node 114-C which initially a year to 6 months.
