Abstract
Pengendalian kecepatan putar motor pada plant simulator flow control telah dirancang bangun dengan tujuan untuk memberikan variasi variabel menggunakan aktuator berupa VSD (Variable Speed Drive). Penggunaan Variable Speed Drive 400 Watt ini didasarkan pada kelebihan VSD (Variable Speed Drive) yaitu dapat secara terus menerus mengatur kecepatan putar motor dan dapat disesuaikan dengan kecepatan putar yang dibutuhkan. Digunakan pompa berdaya listrik sebesar 250 Watt, sehingga VSD (Variable Speed Drive) dengan 400 Watt pada plant ini menjadi pilihan karena dayanya mampu untuk menjalankan pompa air. Sistem pengendalian kecepatan putar motor dibuat untuk mengendalikan laju aliran. Variabel set point berupa besaran frekuensi yang dapat dimanipulasi oleh user, sehingga memberikan kemudahan mengubah variable input. Data kinerja system control dapat direpresentasikan dari hasil respon kontrol yang diperoleh rise time sebesar 1.7 detik, maximum overshoot diperoleh sebesar 1305.36 RPM, dan settling time sebesar 1162 RPM. Pengukuran respon kontrol ini menggunakan error steady state sebesar 0,5 atau 5%.

Control of motor rotational speed at the plant flow control simulator has been designed with the aim to provide variable variations using an actuator in the form of VSD (Variable Speed Drive). The use of a 400 Watt Variable Speed Drive is based on the advantages of VSD (Variable Speed Drive), which can continuously regulate the motor rotational speed and can be adjusted to the required rotational speed. An electrically powered pump of 250 Watt is used, so that a 400 Watt VSD (Variable Speed Drive) at this plant is an option because it is capable of running a water pump. The motor rotational speed control system is made to control the flow rate. Set point variable is a frequency that can be manipulated by the user, making it easy to change the input variable. Control system performance data can be represented from the results of control responses obtained by 1.7 seconds rise time, maximum overshoot is 1305.36 RPM, and settling time is 1162 RPM. Measurement of this control response uses a steady state error of 0.5 or 5%.
