Abstract
Nabi Khidir ialah seorang nabi pada masa lampau yang diyakini memiliki umur panjang. Nabi Khidir bukanlah seorang rasul, sehingga ia tidak termasuk dalam 25 nabi dan rasul. Khidir merupakan guru dari Nabi Musa, dan kisah ini tercantum dalam Al-Quran surat Al-Kahfi ayat 65-82. Selain kisahnya yang menjadi guru Nabi Musa, tidak ada lagi cerita yang jelas mengenai kehidupan Nabi Khidir. Asal-usul kelahirannya, bagaimana ia mendapatkan umur panjang, dan kisah-kisah yang lainnya, masih menjadi misteri. Para ulama telah banyak yang memberikan tafsir berbeda-beda tentang kehidupan Nabi Khidir, namun kebenarannya tidak dapat dipastikan. Hal inilah yang menimbulkan kontroversi di kalangan masyarakat mengenai Nabi Khidir. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk menayangkan sebuah media yang mengupas kisah-kisah kehidupan Nabi Khidir yang misterius tersebut, dan mengomunikasikannya ke masyarakat umum.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode perancangan studi literatur terhadap tafsir-tafsir yang sudah ada, kemudian dilakukan wawancara dengan ahli film tentang bagaimana mengomunikasikan hal tersebut dalam sebuah film, sehingga menjadi film yang menarik, tidak terlalu berat, dan disukai oleh penonton. Untuk mengetahui bagaimana film yang baik tersebut, perlu juga adanya studi kompetitor dan komparator, sehingga dapat mengetahui apa saja film sejenis yang telah sukses dalam menangkap perhatian penonton.
Hasil akhir dari perancangan ini ialah serial animasi tentang Nabi Khidir dengan konsep “Adaptasi Hadits agar Mudah Dipahami”. Diharapkan serial animasi ini dapat mengenalkan dan memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat mengenai kisah-kisah Khidir kepada masyarakat umum terutama generasi muda usia 15-18 tahun.

The Prophet Khidr was a prophet of the past who’s believed to have an eternal life. The Prophet Khidr wasn’t an apostle, for he is not included in the 25 prophets and apostles. Khidr is Prophet Moses’ teacher, as listed in Al-Quran letter Al-Kahf verse 65-82. Other than his story as the teacher of Prophet Moses, there are no clear story about the life of Prophet Khidr. The origins of his birth, how he gains his eternal life, and many other stories, all surrounded in mysteries. Theologist have given many different interpretations about the life of Khidr, but can not be assuredly guaranteed. This is what caused controversy among people about Prophet Khidr. The purpose of this research is to display a media that explores the stories of life of the mysterious Prophet Khidr, and communicate it to the general public.
This research uses literature study method to the existing interpretations, then interviewed with the film expert about how to communicate it in a film, so it becomes an interesting film, not so heavy, and liked by the audience. Comparative studies are also being done, so we could know what kind of films which successfully reaching the attention of audience.
The final result of this design is the animated series about Prophet Khidr with the concept of "Easily Understandable Hadith Adaptation". It is expected that this animated series can introduce and provide understanding about the life of the Prophet Khidr to the wider community especially those around 15-18 years old.
