Abstract

People with disabilities, especially children, generally feel constrained in doing daily activities. Children with disabilities tend to have less self-esteem since their rights as children will be limited due to lack of ability doing daily activities. Disability people are usually caused by amputations due to accidents or congenital diseases they were suffered of since they were birth. Prosthetic hand production in Indonesia is still in the process of developing so that there is a lack of facilities or medical devices for the disabled. Prosthetics is an aid in the form of a body replacement. This research is expected to be able to help and support people with physical disabilities, especially for children in dealing with their daily lives. Because the average economic level of disabled people in Indonesia is on middle to low, the use of additive manufacturing methods is efficient. The method starts with conducting an SOP in hand measurement, Shadowing, Deep Interview, Card Shorting, Participant Preposition, and Questionnaire. The concept used is by biomechanics with Stylish, Fun, Light, and Strong that will produce prosthetic products which can be used as children's playmates in the form of fake hands that have additional features as toys.
