Abstract
Pramoedya Ananta Toer merupakan sastrawan yang merekonstruksi sejarah melalui karya sastra. Dalam karya sastra sejarah Tetralogi Buru yang mendapatkan banyak apresiasi serta penghargaan internasional, karena memiliki nilai perjuangan serta historis Indonesia pada masa kolonial Belanda. Dampak dari pelarangan beredar oleh Kejaksaan Agung pada tahun 1981 adalah kurang tahunya masyarakat saat ini tentang buku sastra sejarah Tetralogi Buru: Bumi Manusia, dengan banyaknya upaya pelindungan terhadap karya ini memunculkan urgensi lain untuk membuat sebuah media alternatif visual yang sedang diminati untuk dapat mendukung upaya pelindungan dan mengenalkan kembali sastra sejarah Tetralogi Buru: Bumi Manusia. Perancangan ini menggunakan beberapa metode penelitian diantaranya analisa konten, wawancara mendalam, studi media dan studi artefak yang digunakan untuk mendapatkan rumusan konsep visual, cerita serta teori pengadapatasian untuk konten media perancangan. Dari pengolahan data dan analisis tersebut dihasilkan sebuah Novel Grafis adaptasi Tetralogi Buru: Bumi Manusia dengan konsep “Roman Tragedi Pra-Kemerdekaan”. Dalam perancangan Novel Grafis adaptasi Tetralogi Buru: Bumi Manusia ini terdapat kriteria desain, draft dan konsep pengembangan. Kriteria desain meliputi ketentuan halaman, panel, dialog, gambar, karakter, latar, pewarnaan, balon dan kotak kata, jenis, warna dan ukuran font. Draft atau storyboard merupakan proses lanjutan dan pengembangan dari kriteria desain. Pembuatan novel grafis adaptasi ini merupakan salah satu bentuk usaha dari pengenalan kembali karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer dalam bentuk visual. Media novel grafis dapat mencakup penggambaran yang jelas terkait tema atau pesan utama yang diangkat dalam buku. Diharapkan dengan adanya media alternatif visual berupa novel grafis yang sedang digemari remaja akhir khususnya usia 18-25 tahun saat ini dapat lebih mudah untuk mengenalkan kembali karya-karya sastra sejarah Pramoedya Ananta Toer maupun dapat menjadi acuan untuk pengembangan karya-karya sastra lainnya dalam bentuk novel grafis.

Pramoedya Ananta Toer is a writer who reconstructs history through literary works. In the historical literary work of the Tetralogi Buru which received many international awards and awards, because it has the value of the struggle and history of Indonesia in the Dutch colonial period. The effect of the circulating prohibition by the Attorney General's Office in 1981 was the lack of awareness of the current society about the Tetralogi Buru: Bumi Manusia, with many safeguards against this work giving rise to another urgency to create a visual alternative media that was in demand to support protection efforts and reintroducing historical literature Tetralogi Buru: Bumi Manusia. This design uses several research methods including content analysis, in-depth interviews, media studies and artifact studies that are used to obtain the formulation of visual concepts, stories and adaptation theories for design media content. From the processing of the data and analysis it was produced a Graphic Novel adaptation Tetralogi Buru: Bumi Manusia with the concept of " Pre-Independence Roman Tragedy". In designing Graphic Novels of Tetralogi Buru: Bumi Manusia has design criteria, draft and development concepts. Design criteria include the terms of the page, panel, dialog, image, character, background, coloring, balloon and word box, type, color and font size. Draft or storyboard is an advanced process and development of design criteria. The making of this graphic novel adaptation is one form of effort from the re-introduction of the work of Pramoedya Ananta Toer in visual form. Media graphic novels can include a clear description of the main theme or message raised in the book. It is hoped that with the presence of visual alternative media in the form of graphic novels that are currently popular with young adolescents, especially those aged 18-25 years, it can be easier to reintroduce the historical literary works of Pramoedya Ananta Toer or be a reference for the development of other literary works in novel forms graphic.
