Abstract

Terminal Gapura Surya Nusantara atau yang biasa dikenal dengan Surabaya North Quay adalah bagian dari Pelabuhan Tanjung Perak yang dikelola oleh PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Pelindo III) yang berfokus kepada daerah maritim dan juga mengembangkan kawasan wisata. Guna terus mengembangkan diri di sektor wisata, strategi utama yang dilakukan antara lain Food and Beverage, Community, Festive, dan Education. Namun, strategi edukasi ini masih belum ada fasilitas yang dapat mewadahi. Oleh karna itu, Pihak Pelindo Property Indonesia berencana untuk membangun sebuah Museum maritim di Surabaya North Quay sebagai sarana edukasi. Tujuan perancangan ini adalah menciptakan rancangan Desain Grafis Lingkungan yang dapat mendukung penyampaian informasi dalam Museum Maritim Surabaya North Quay pada Pelabuhan Tanjung Perak Surabaya. Dalam perancangan museum, perancangan desain grafis yang dapat menunjang penyampaian konten informasi didalamnya. Penelitian dilakukan dengan observasi pada kondisi arsitektur bangunan dan juga keadaan dari Pelabuhan Tanjung Perak itu sendiri, serta interview kepada pihak Pelindo III dan Pelindo Property Indonesia. Metode studi experimental dilakukan berdasarkan hasil dari observasi dan interview yang nantinya di depth interviewkan dan digunakan dalam proses pembuatan konsep desain. Konsep desain yang dihasilkan berupa konten informasi yang divisualisasikan dalam bentuk eksibisi dengan acuan identitas dan lingkungan pelabuhan yang telah di sederhanakan sehingga mampu menunjang penyampaian konten informasi. Luaran dari perancangan ini meliputi sistem area berupa pembagian zona, dan alur sirkulasi, desain eksibisi berupa desain eksibisi, desain mural dan desain gate, desain informasi berupa wall graphic dan konten informasi, serta desain penanda berupa panel informasi, panel objek dan directional sign.

Gapura Surya Nusantara Terminal commonly known as Surabaya North Quay is part of the Tanjung Perak Port managed by PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Pelindo III) focused on the maritime sector and also develops tourism sector. In order to continue to develop the tourism sector, Surabaya North Quay strategies carried out Food and Beverage, Community, Festive, and Education. However, the Education Strategy was not ready to bring up in the facility. Therefore, Pelindo Property Indonesia plans to build a maritime museum in Surabaya North Quay as a purpose to educate through Environmental Graphic Design design that can support the delivery of information in the Surabaya North Quay Maritime Museum at the Port of Tanjung Perak Surabaya. While designing the museum, it is necessary to plan a graphic design that can support the delivery of information content in it. This study was conducted by observing the architectural conditions of the building as well as the conditions of the Tanjung Perak Port itself, through interviews with Pelindo III and Pelindo Property Indonesia. Experimental study methods are conducted based on the results of observations and interviews which later used in the process of making design concepts. The result of the design concept is visualized in the form of information on exhibitions reffered to the simplified identity and port environments as to support the delivery of information and content. The output of the system are ; area system, mural design and gate design, exhibition design, information design in the form of wall graphic and information content, marker design in the form of information panels, object panels and directional signs.
