Abstract

In this era, military turbofans became the main defense tool for the Indonesian Air Force in Indonesia. The use of military turbofan is more important than comparing with the military turbojet thrust that results in significant differences. In general, fighter aircraft in Indonesia have now used the Military Turbofan Machine as the main aircraft equipment for the T-50 designed to be used as training aircraft for pilots who will fly 4th and 5th generation fighter planes, for F-16s and F-22. The test was carried out by using the F404-GE-400 military turbofan engine data using the results of running the DECK software at maximum idle, intermediate and afterburner conditions with variations in altitude from 0-15 km with a thrust , thrust spesific and Thrust Spesific Fuel Consumption (TSFC). From the test results obtained the highest Thrust occurs at 0 m on intermediate conditions of 80558,9429 N. While the lowest thrust at 0 m on idle condition is 1377,0496 N. The highest thrust is at 6096 m on maximum afterburner condition of 1068,7789 Ns/kg. Whereas for the lowest specific thrust at 0 m on idle condition is 49.254 N.s/kg. The highest thrust-specific fuel consumption (TSFC) is at 0 m on maximum afterburner of 0.478 kg fuel/N.h. Whereas for the lowest Thrust-Specific Fuel Consumption (TSFC) is at 9044 m on idle condition of 0,0746 kg fuel/N.h.
