Abstract
Proses produksi pembuatan serabut bambu memiliki berbagai tahapan dalam proses produksi, salah satunya proses penyerutan bambu sampai terbentuknya serabut bambu. Pada proses tersebut masih dilakukan secara manual. Dengan menggunakan pisau, memerlukan tenaga dan ketelitian dalam menjalankan prosesnya, mengakibatkan penyerutan membutuhkan waktu yang lama, sehingga usaha perbaikan kapal dengan menggunakan serat bambu digantikan oleh bahan lain. Dalam mengatasi kekurangan yang didapat studi literature digunakan untuk mengetahui permasalahan dari usaha perbaikan kapal setelah itu barulah data didapat dan dilanjutkan dengan perhitungan setelah di dapat hasil yang di butuhkan barulah ditentukan komponen lalu dirancangan setelah dirancang direalisasikan dengan pembuatan alat setelah jadi alat di lakukan uji coba alat. Dari situ dilihat hasilnya ya atau tidak, apabila ya langsung dilanjutkan dengan pembuatan laporan dan selesai. Dari percobaan didapatkan gaya penyerut sebesar 1765,26 N dan daya 187,47 Watt. Sedangkan kompresor yang digunakan memiliki tekanan 10 bar menggunakan silinder pneumatik berdiameter 100 mm dan stroke 700 mm. Dan Kapasitas produksi mesin sebesar 3090 gram/jam.

The production process of making bamboo fibers has various stages in the production process, one of which is the process of shaving bamboo until the formation of bamboo fibers. The process is still done manually. By using a knife, it requires energy and precision in carrying out the process, resulting in a long time consuming shrinkage, so the effort to repair the ship using bamboo fiber is replaced by other materials. In overcoming the shortcomings obtained by the literature study, it was used to find out the problems of ship repair after that the data was obtained and continued with calculations after obtaining the required results, then the components were determined and then designed after being realized by making tools after testing tools. From there the results are yes or no, if yes, it is immediately followed by the making of the report and completion. From the experiment, the shear force is 1765.26 N and 187.47 Watt power. While the compressors used have a pressure of 10 bars using pneumatic cylinders with a diameter of 100 mm and a stroke of 700 mm. And the engine production capacity is 3090 grams / hour.
