Abstract
PG. Kremboong Sidoarjo, merupakan perusahaan yang memproduksi gula pasir dengan bahan baku tanaman tebu. Kapasitas produksi gula yang mampu dihasilkan mencapai 2500 tcd. Dalam rangka mencapai target produksi dituntut adanya kelancaran proses produksi. Kualitas dan kelancaran proses produksi sangat dipengaruhi oleh kondisi peralatan produksi, dalam hal ini adalah tingkat keandalan dari mesin-mesin produksi perusahaan. Mesin cane cutter berfungsi untuk mencacah tebu dengan tujuan memaksimalkan dan mempermudah proses penggilingan, memiliki peran penting dalam proses produksi gula sehingga kerusakan pada mesin ini akan mengganggu kelancaran proses produksi gula. Dalam mengukur seberapa baik dan menjaga tingkat keandalan mesin cane cutter maka diperlukan proses perawatan secara berkala dan terjadwal. Tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk perawatan yang tepat dan nilai keandalan mesin cane cutter sebagai acuan untuk menentukan interval waktu perawatan menggunakan metode Reliability Centered Maintenance.
Hasil perhitungan nilai keandalan, laju kegagalan dan mean time to failure menunjukkan bahwa perawatan yang tepat yaitu menggunakan preventive maintenance dengan interval waktu perawatan tiap 200 jam mesin cane cutter beroperasi. Pemilihan aktivitas perawatan dan interval waktu perawatan bertujuan untuk menjaga nilai keandalan mesin tetap baik selama satu masa giling.

PG. Kremboong Sidoarjo, is a company that produces sugar with sugar cane materials. The production capacity are 2500 tcd. In order to achieve the production target, there is a demand for a smooth production process. The cane cutter machine serves to cut and chop sugar cane with the aim of maximizing and simplifying the grinding process, has an important role in the sugar production process so when the failure occur to this machine will disrupt the smooth process of sugar production. In measuring how well and maintaining the level of reliability of the cane cutter machine, a regular and scheduled maintenance process is needed. This final project aims to determine the proper form of maintenance and the reliability value of the cane cutter machine as a reference for determining maintenance time intervals using the Reliability Centered Maintenance method.
The result for the calculation of the value of reliability, failure rate and mean time to failure indicate that the right treatment is to use preventive maintenance every 200 hours the cane cutter machine operates. The selection of maintenance activities and maintenance time intervals aims to keep the reliability of machine good for one production period.
