Abstract
Proses netralisasi pH adalah pencampuran antara larutan asam dan basa atau sebaliknya dengan karakteristiknya sering digambarkan oleh kurva titrasi dengan bentuk yang nonlinier, sehingga bila diterapkan skema control dengan bentuk yang linier, maka performansinya akan menurun terutama pada daerah nonliner (pH: 5-7 dan 9-11). Hal tersebut dikarenakan juga penambahan kecil larutan titrasi akan menyebabkan penambahan yang drastis nilai pH. Penambahan salah satu larutan terhadap nilai pH yang dihasilkan pada pencampuran tersebut memiliki sifat nonlinear dan tergambarkan pada kurva titrasinya. Titrasi asam dan basa memiliki karakteristik yang nonlinear yang ditunjukkan melalui kurva titrasi pH sehingga nilai pH tidak berbanding lurus dengan penambahan larutan asam dan basa dengan jumlah tertentu. Penambahan sedikit saja larutan asam dan basa dapat menaikkan atau menurunkun nilai pH. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan perancangan pengendali linear yakni PID untuk mengatasi karakteristik nonlinear dari pH pada CSTR dimana didapatkan respon dari pengendalian pH dengan menggunakan PID dapat mengikuti set point sebesar pH 7, settling time 26,7s, max overshoot 47,2 %, dan error sebesar 0,14 sehingga nilai pH pada plant sebesar 6,99. ==============================================================================================================================
The pH neutralization process is mixing between acid and alkaline solutions with its characteristics often described by titration curve with nonlinear shape, if the control scheme is applied in a linear form, the performance will decrease especially in the nonliner area (pH: 5-7 and 9-11). This is because the small addition of the titration solution will cause a drastic addition in pH value. The addition of one solution to the pH value produced in the mixing has nonlinear nature and illustrated on the titration curve. Titration of acids and alkaline has nonlinear characteristics which are indicated by pH titration curves that the pH value is not directly proportional to the addition of a certain amount of acid and alkaline solution. Increase small amount of acid and base solution can increase or decrease the pH value. In this study, the linear controller PID was used to overcome the nonlinear characteristics of pH on CSTR where the response from pH control using PID could follow a set point of pH 7, settling time 26.7s, max overshoot 47.2%, and error 0.14 so the value pH at the plant is 6.99.
