Abstract
Industri kerajinan tembaga berkontribusi besar terhadap perkembangan ekonomi di Indonesia. Salah satu sentra terbesar yang ada saat ini adalah sentra kerajinan tembaga di Desa Tumang, Kabupaten Boyolali, Jawa Tengah. Selain itu, terdapat pula industri kerajinan onyx yang berasal dari Tulungagung juga berkembang pesat dalam jumlah produksinya. Produk-produk tembaga Desa Tumang dikenal sebagai produk dengan kearifan lokal yang mengakar kuat. Sehingga, pengembangan produk serial lampu tembaga berpeluang untuk dikembangkan salah satunya dengan menggabungkan dengan material onyx. Produk ini berpotensi memberikan nilai tambah tersendiri terhadap produk tersebut. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Metode yang pertama menggunakan pendekatan analisis pasar guna mendapatkan target pasar yang jelas. Yang kedua, metode transformasi tradisi diterapkan untuk menghubungkan unsur tradisional dan modern untuk menampilkan produk serial lampu baru yang berkarakter. Dengan demikian, konsep pengembangan produk serial lampu berbasis material tembaga dan onyx adalah “State of the Art Lighting Product”.

For the past decade, the products of copper craftsmanship have contributed significantly to the increasing economic condition of Indonesia. One of the biggest copper production centers is located within the district of Tumang, Boyolali, Indonesia. The Tumang’s copper products are widely known as a product that is rich of local wisdom rooted in its tradition. On top of that, onyx craftsmanship also shares the same acknowledgement at regional and global scale. Tumang Village's copper products are known as products with strong entrenched local wisdom. Related, the development of copper lamp serial products has the opportunity to be developed, one of which is supported by onyx material. This product provides added value specifically for the product. The method used in this study. The first method uses market analysis to get a clear target market. Secondly, the transformation method is applied to connect non-traditional and modern ways to display a new series of lamps with character. Thus, the concept of developing serial products based on copper and onyx materials is “State of the Art Lighting Product”.
