Abstract

Pemancangan sistem injeksi sering digunakan sebagai metode instalasi pondasi dalam di atas tanah lunak. Sistem injeksi diharapkan memberikan konfirmasi langsung atas daya dukung pondasi tiang di lapangan. Namun, pada kenyataannya daya dukung pondasi tiang di atas tanah lunak, setelah dilakukan beberapa pengujian atas daya dukungnya, mengalami anomali berupa turunnya daya dukung pondasi tiang secara ekstrem. Hal ini teramati secara langsung pada beberapa proyek, khususnya di Kota Surabaya dan Semarang. Dampak dari anomali tersebut menimbulkan tertundanya pekerjaan di lapangan dan keraguan atas pekerjaan pondasi tiang. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kualitatif atau studi kasus terhadap permasalahan yang timbul akibat instalasi pondasi tiang yang berhubungan dengan aspek teknis dalam perencanaan, yaitu daya dukung pondasi tiang. Studi kualitatif ini diambil langsung dari data-data yang didapatkan dari tiga proyek (dua berada di Kota Surabaya dan satu berada di Kota Semarang). Proyek I dan Proyek II merupakan bangunan di pusat Kota Surabaya. Instalasi pondasi kelompok tiang pada Proyek I dan Proyek II secara berurutan berjumlah 312 dan 884 titik. Pondasi tiang yang diteliti berada dekat dengan instalasi pondasi tiang kelompok tersebut. Hasil pengujian beban statik merupakan hasil pengujian beban pada kondisi pondasi tiang yang sudah mengalami gangguan akibat adanya instalasi pondasi tiang. Proyek III merupakan bangunan silo di Kota Semarang, terdiri dari 12 bangunan silo yang masing-masing ditopang oleh 80 pondasi tiang. Terjadi keretakan struktur pada saat pengisian silo, segera setelah pekerjaan pondasi tiang dilakukan. Penurunan daya dukung hingga ≈35% dari daya dukung awal pondasi tiang dijumpai pada Proyek I dan Proyek II. Variasi ketebalan tanah lempung lunak juga dijumpai berpengaruh terhadap fenomena yang terjadi. Hasil penelitian dan studi kualitatif menunjukkan bahwa instalasi pondasi tiang pada tanah lempung sangat lunak hingga lunak yang ditopang oleh tanah lempung medium hingga kaku memiliki kombinasi fenomena excess pore pressure dan pile heave yang dapat menyebabkan turunnya daya dukung pondasi tiang.

Piling with an injection system is often used as a foundation installation method in soft soil. The injection system is expected to provide early confirmation of the bearing capacity of the pile foundation on site. In fact, in most cases, the bearing capacity of the pile foundation on soft soil, after several bearing capacity tests were performed, experienced an anomaly, namely an extreme decrease in the bearing capacity of the pile foundation. This was observed directly on several projects, especially in Surabaya and Semarang. The impact of such anomalies leads to delays in work at the site and doubts about the pile foundation installation work. This research is a qualitative study, or case study, on the problems arising from pile foundation installation related to the technical aspects of planning, namely the bearing capacity of the pile foundation. The qualitative study is taken directly from data obtained from three projects (two in the city of Surabaya and one in the city of Semarang). Each set of data on the decrease in bearing capacity of the pile foundation was studied and examined against existing literature. The data were then analyzed to obtain a clear picture of the most dominant causal factors affecting the bearing capacity of the pile foundation. Project I and Project II are buildings in the city of Surabaya. The total number of piling points at Project I and Project II are 312 and 884, respectively. The studied pile foundations are located close to the installation of the group pile foundation. The results of the static load test reflect conditions in which the pile foundation had already been disrupted due to the installation activity. Project III is a silo building in the city of Semarang, consisting of 12 silo buildings, each supported by 80 pile foundations. Structural cracks occurred at the time the silo was being filled with material, shortly after the pile foundation work was completed. A decrease in bearing capacity of up to approximately 35% of the initial bearing capacity of the pile foundation was found at Project I and Project II. Variations in soft clay soil thickness were also found to affect the phenomenon observed. The results of the qualitative research and study indicate that the installation of pile foundations in very soft to soft clay soil, supported by medium to rigid clay soil, involves a combination of excess pore pressure and pile heave phenomena that can cause a decrease in the bearing capacity of the pile foundation.
