Abstract
Air buangan Air Conditioning (AC) memiliki kuantitas yang cukup banyak, tetapi biasanya air buangan AC langsung dibuang ke lingkungan sekitar melalui pipa saluran air buangan AC. Tujuan penelitian adalah (1) menentukan kuantitas air buangan AC yang dihasilkan per jam, (2) menganalisis kualitas air buangan AC, dan (3) menganalisis nilai ekonomi air buangan AC untuk air minum.
Penelitian dilakukan dengan menganalisis kuantitas dan kualitas air buangan AC. Variasi yang digunakan adalah merk AC yaitu Panasonic, Daikin, dan LG dengan variasi daya yaitu 1 PK,
1,5 PK, dan 2 PK. Parameter yang dianalisis meliputi warna, TDS, kekeruhan, besi, kesadahan, klorida, pH, sulfat, ammonia,
timbal, zat organik, dan total bakteri Coliform.
Rata-rata kuantitas air buangan AC yang dihasilkan oleh
AC daya 1 PK, 1,5 PK, dan 2 PK adalah 1,1 L/jam, 1,6 L/jam, dan
2,7 L/jam. Kualitas air buangan AC berdasarkan parameter fisik memenuhi baku mutu yang dipersyaratkan, sedangkan parameter kimia dan mikrobiologi melebihi baku mutu yang dipersyaratkan. Parameter kimia yang melebihi baku mutu yang dipersyaratkan adalah ammonia dan zat organik, sedangkan parameter mikrobiologi adalah adanya bakteri Coliform nonfecal. Pemanfaatan air buangan AC sebagai air minum dapat memberikan penghematan sebesar Rp 1.316.220.371 selama 6 bulan.

Air conditioning (AC) wastewater has a considerable quantity, however AC wastewater directly discharged into the environment through the AC wastewater pipe. The purposes of research is (1) to determine the quantity of AC wastewater produced per hour, (2) to analyze the quality of AC wastewater, and (3) to analyze the economic value of AC wastewater utilization for drinking water.
The research was conducted by analyzing the quantity and quality of AC wastewater. The variation used was brand AC, i.e., Panasonic, Daikin, and LG with power variation, i.e., 1 PK, 1,5
PK, and 2 PK. The analytical parameters were color, TDS, turbidity, iron, hardness, chloride, pH, sulfate, ammonia, lead, organic matter, and total coliform bacteria.
The average quantity of AC wastewater produced by AC 1
PK, 1,5 PK, and 2 PK is 1,1 L/hour, 1,6 L/hour, dan 2,7 L/hour. The quality of AC wastewater based on physical parameters was fill up the quality standard, chemical and microbiological parameters was exceed the quality standard, i.e., ammonia, organic matter, and coliform bacteria nonfecal. The utilization of AC wastewater as drinking water can savings of Rp
1.316.220.371 for 6 months.
