Abstract
Indonesia memiliki berbagai macam perguruan tinggi
yang dibedakan berdasarkan jenjang dan program studi yang
ditawarkan seperti universitas, institusi, sekolah tinggi, politeknik,
akademi, dan akademi komunitas. Dari keberagaman tersebut
tentunya tiap-tiap perguruan tinggi memiliki proses kegiatan
akademik yang berbeda, terutama dalam proses ekuivalensi.
Ekuivalensi merupakan proses penyetaraan matakuliah. Kasus
yang sering terjadi yaitu saat pergantian kurikulum dan
penerimaan peserta didik alih jenjang. Pada kasus pergantian
kurikulum, tidak semua perguruan tinggi memiliki sistem yang
dapat menangani hal tersebut. Sedangkan kasus penerimaan
peserta didik alih jenjang masih dilakukan secara manual oleh
kepala program studi. Sehingga diperlukan sebuah sistem yang
dapat mengakomodasi kebutuhan perguruan tinggi.
Melalui Tugas Akhir ini dibangun sebuah sistem informasi
akademik generik pada modul ekuivalensi. Generik yang dimaksud
yaitu memiliki proses bisnis yang generik atau umum. Proses
bisnis yang hanya dimiliki oleh perguruan tinggi tertentu akan
diabaikan jika mengganggu proses bisnis yang lain yang dianggap
lebih generik.

Pengujian dilakukan dengan bantuan dua dosen Teknik
Informatika yang tergabung dalam Tim Ekuivalensi. Hasilnya
sistem ini sesuai dengan proses ekuivalensi yang ada pada ITS.
Dengan begitu diharapkan sistem ini dapat menangani variasi
aturan yang dimiliki oleh perguruan tinggi yang lain.

Indonesia has a wide range of universities, differentiated
by level and concentration offered such as university, institution,
college, polytechnic, academy, and community academy. From the
diversity, each university has a different process of academic
activities, especially in process of equivalence. Equivalence is a
process of equalizing the courses change. The problem mostly
occurs when curriculum and admission of transfer students
happened. In the case of alternation of curriculum, not all
universities have a system that can handle it. While in the case of
admission of transfer students, it is still done manually by head of
departement. Hence, we need a system that can accommodate this
needs of the university.
In this final project, we build a generic academic
information system that focused on equivalence module. Generic
is referred to a generic business process or general business
process. The business process only owned by specific college will
be ignored if it ruins another business process which is considered
to be important.
The trial will be done with the help of two of Department
of Informatics lecturers. Both are the members of Equivalence
Team. The result shows that the system is in line with the process

of equivalence at ITS. So, we are hoped that the system can handle
variation of rules that are owned by other university.
