Abstract
Baja merupakan salah satu material yang tidak bisa dipisahkan dari dunia industri. Jenis baja yang sering digunakan dalam dunia industri yaitu baja karbon. Baja karbon sering digunakan karena memiliki kekerasan yang tinggi dan memiliki kekuatan material yang baik. pipa baja pada industri sering terkena kontak langsung dengan air, udara, zat - zat yang mengalir didalamnya sehingga korosi pada baja sangat sulit untuk dihindari. Penelitian yang dilakukan ada dua jenis yaitu pengujian pengaruh variasi temperatur pada green inhibitor dan mekanisme inhibisi pada green inhibitor daun tumbuhan enceng gondok. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan beberapa variasi konsentrasi inhibitor diantaranya 1000 mg, 2000 mg, 3000 mg, 4000 mg, 5000 mg dan dengan menggunakan media korosi HCL 1M. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi inhibitor pada material baja dilakukan pengujian EIS (Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy) dan PDP (Potensiodynamic Polarisazation), untuk mengetahui laju korosi maka akan dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode pengujian Weight Loss.

Steel is one of the materials that cannot be separated from the industrial world. The type of steel that is often used in the industrial world is carbon steel. Carbon steel is often used because it has high hardness and good material strength. Steel pipes in industry are often exposed to direct contact with water, air, and substances flowing through them, so that corrosion in steel is very difficult to avoid. The research conducted consisted of two types, namely testing the effect of temperature variations on green inhibitors and examining the inhibition mechanism of green inhibitors derived from water hyacinth plant leaves. In this study, several inhibitor concentrations were used, including 1000 mg, 2000 mg, 3000 mg, 4000 mg, and 5000 mg, with 1M HCl as the corrosive medium. To determine the effect of inhibitor concentration on the steel material, EIS (Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy) and PDP (Potentiodynamic Polarization) testing were conducted, while the corrosion rate was determined using the Weight Loss testing method.
