Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari fenomena kenaikan titik didih dan mencari koefisien heat transfer pada proses evaporasi larutan Na2SnO3 yang dihasilkan setelah proses evaporasi dalam pemurnian timah dari slag timah. Data didapatkan menggunakan metode pengukuran kenaikan titik didih dengan variabel tekanan (760, 720, 680, 640, 600, 560, 520, 480, 440, 400, 360 mmHg) dan variabel konsentrasi larutan Na2SnO3 (50%, 40%, 30%,25%, 20%, 10% berat). Harga kenaikan titik didih rata-rata dari larutan Na2SnO3 dengan konsentrasi 10%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 40%, dan 50% secara berurutan adalah 1,13 oC; 2,26 oC; 2,96 oC; 3,19 oC; 3,85 oC; dan 4,59 oC. Harga koefisien perpindahan panas konveksi rata-rata dari pendidihan larutan Na2SnO3 dengan konsentrasi 10%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 40%, dan 50% secara berurutan adalah 3457,23; 3904,90; 4250,02; 4498,20; 4965,90; dan 5688,50 W/m2 K ====================================================================================================== This research is established to study mainly the phenomena of the boiling pint elevation and the calculation of heat transfer coefficient in the boiling process of Na2SnO3 solution that produced after going through the evaporation process to purify tin from tin slag. Pressure variable (760, 720, 680, 640, 600, 560, 520, 480, 440, 400, 360 mmHg) and Na2SnO3 solution concentration variable (50%, 40%, 30%, 25%, 20%, 10% weight) is used to collect data using measurement of boiling point elevation method. From the research we got the average boiling point elevation of Na2SnO3 solution, with a concentration of 10%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 40%, and 50% sequentially is 1,13 oC; 2,26 oC; 2,96 oC; 3,19 oC; 3,85 oC; and 4,59 oC. The average heat transfer coefficient of Na2SnO3 solution with a concentration of 10%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 40%, and 50% sequentially is 3457,23; 3904,90; 4250,02; 4498,20; 4965,90; and 5688,50 W/m2 K
