Abstract
Indonesia memiliki keanekaragaman hayati nomor tiga terbesar di dunia.
Demikian pula dengan kondisi tanah dan iklim yang beragam, peluang untuk
mengembangkan berbagai komoditas pertanian pun semakin besar dengan
menerapkan sistem pengelolaan lahan yang sesuai. Hal ini tercemin pada berbagai
teknologi pertanian lokal yang berkembang di masyarakat dengan menyesuaikannya
dengan tipologi lahan. Keunikan - keunikan tersebut merupakan aset yang dapat
menarik bangsa lain untuk berkunjung/berwisata ke Indonesia.
Wisata agrikultur merupakan bagian dari objek wisata yang memanfaatkan
usaha pertanian sebagai objek wisata. Tujuannya adalah untuk memperluas
pengetahuan, pengalaman rekreasi, dan hubungan usaha dibidang pertanian. Melalui
pengembangan agrowisata yang menonjolkan budaya lokal dalam memanfaatkan
lahan, kita bisa meningkatkan pendapatan petani sambil melestarikan sumber daya
lahan, serta memelihara budaya maupun teknologi lokal yang umumnya telah sesuai
dengan kondisi lingkungan alaminya.
Di Indonesia, agroturisme didefinisikan sebagai sebuah bentuk kegiatan
pariwisata yang memanfaatkan usaha agro (agribisnis) sebagai objek wisata dengan
tujuan untuk memperluas pengetahuan, pengalaman, rekreasi dan hubungan usaha di
bidang pertanian.

Indonesia has the third largest biodiversity in the world. Because of the soil
and climatic conditions are varied, the opportunity to develop a range of agricultural
commodities even bigger by implementing appropriate land management system. This
is reflected in the various local agricultural technologies developed in the community
to adapt to the typology of land. The uniqueness is an asset that can attract other
nations to visit / travel to Indonesia.
Agro-tourism is part of the attraction that use agriculture as a tourist attraction.
The aim is to broaden the knowledge, experience recreation and business in the field
of agriculture. Through the development of agro-tourism that highlight local culture in
the use of land, we can increase the income of farmers while conserving land
resources, and preserve local culture and technology have generally been in
accordance with the conditions of the natural environment.
In Indonesia, Agro-tourism defined as a form of tourism activities that utilize
agro business as a tourist attraction with the purpose of expanding knowledge,
experience, leisure and business in the field of agriculture.
